The episode that introduces Lana Shields in season 4 we discover apparently that Larry aside from working the used car dealer lot he also has a side gig as a male escort to single women looking for a fun night.

This is the one and only time this bit of news is brought up and never ever mentioned in the series again, I mean I know continuity wasn't ever consistent but something taboo for network TV like being a male escort would have made for some interesting episodes.

It was an odd job. But this episode and odd job is how Lana is introduced. She is an older cougar looking for younger guys. So the writers came up with this plot to bring her into the show. Notice, Jack was not hired for sex. Larry explains its just for a companion. So the network made sure sex was never in the equation. Its not until after the date that Lana comes on to Jack and then Jack pretends to be gay.

The strange thing is Larry is too scrawny & skinny to be a paid male escort.

I mean hypothetically ANY guy could do it but you'd think women would want someone more robust or muscular. I could see Jack at this age being an escort.

Somebody more attractive would probably cost more per night. Maybe some women cannot afford such a price and so Larry is the best that they can do.

True but I just think most women would chose a more muscular man if they're going to PAY for him & not choose a toothpick.
