I always thought Happy Days was based loosely on American Graffitti, I may
be wrong. |

not many know this, but happy days also spun off a favorite expression in hollywood movies buisnes.... if you 'jumped the shark', it means your show is a flop remember fonzie? |

I think Mork and Mindy was technically a spinoff of Happy Days--Robin Williams appeared in that character, but Pam Dawber was not involved. |

a bit of trivia: AARON SPELLING wanted Tom Bosley for CHARLIES ANGELS, but when he got David Doyle instead, he named the character "Bosley". |

Wasn't Alias Smith and Jones loosely based on the movie "Butch Cassidy and
the Sundance Kid"? |

no it wasn't; you're probably confused by the fact that Columbia Pictures; whose television "arm" was Screen Gems where BEWITCHED and a lot of other shows were made; made 2 movies with premises that were similar. "Bell, Book and Candle" was one; and I forget the name of the other one.

Harry & the Hendersons
Karate Kid - Cobra Kai Look Who’s Talking - not sure if the show was called that, it may have been something like “Baby Talk,” but I’m pretty sure Bruce Willis still did the voice. Friday the 13th - Freddy’s Nightmare Star gate - or was that vice versa? Friday the 13th - not exactly the same, but same name and horror related Indiana Jones - Young Indiana Jones Chronciles If we were doing movies into cartoons there would be a lot more... |
