I was looking at DVDs on Amazon and they only have something called volumes and not anything called season 1,2,3 etc.
Is there a place to get all the seasons? I don't want to "fall in love" with another 50/60s family and not have a way to own the whole shebang. Thanks. |

If you find where to buy the "whole shebang" let me know. You can buy a DVD set that has 100 episodes (see the various O&H sets available on the very top of this very O&H page). There's also all those many little volumes of shows you see on Amazon and elsewhere put out by Oldies.com. BUT NONE of these will give you the complete set. You can also find many many episodes on line on You Tube for instance. But still even if you downloaded everything you find you still will be missing some episodes. That's the situation we're all in, at least those of us who would like everything. But there really is a lot of episodes online, a lot more than what you can find for sale on DVD.
ALSO, the good news for everyone here that I have not yet announced on that odd Z-Living channel overnight every weeknight are a marathon of O&H shows. Some nights it's 3 hours straight others it's 4 or 5 hours straight. Now for a real advancement on Z-Living's part I can now tell which episode they'll be playing each night by looking on my cable box channel guide. For a long time you never knew what episode they'd show, but now they're all listed. They're also showing a lot more episodes now than they have ever done before. I recently saw a color version of "Ghost Town" from the last season, which I didn't know was available in color till then. So Z-Living has gotten it's act together finally after several years of oddball showings and times. Unfortunately they're also showing a whole lot of crappy shows during the day and evening (naturally marathon style, which I also can't stand) a weird foreign country (I think it's Australian?) version of Tarzan. Then other '80's and '90's crap TV like Silk something, I have no interest in any of these so I couldn't tell you more. But starting at midnight the interesting shows begin. So if you have Verizon or whatever cable company carries Z-Living check out their O&H shows.

But, right, as you suspected, there are no season sets.
Sure wish Comcast had the Z Living thing... |

Sadly, there are no commercial Season by Season Sets. As Hazel A. pointed out there are many sets with ep’s all mixed together. The up side of these sets is most are very reasonable—even bargain priced. The down side, based on my experience, is 90% of the eps are cut and if you collect all the commercial sets you find, you will get several “overlaps” of eps. LOL between my 20 or so sets I have six copies of “The Fraternity Rents A Room” and “The Tigers Go To A Dance.”
My advice: Print up the chronological ep list and then go to You Tube, which has a treasure trove of eps, and look for an ep whose title catches your fancy. The down side to eps on the Internet, as Hazel A. has correctly pointed out in the past, is there is no guarantee these eps will be up there forever. But I’d recommend going to YT first, and as you see eps you really like, write down the titles, and then perhaps buy those sets having the eps. If you have access to the TV channels airing O & H go there too! I found the Shout TV sets quite good. The Mill Creek sets are very cheap, but the eps have significant cuts from them—as many average 20-21 minutes—so with Mill Creek you have to decide if the cheap price justifies the lower quality. Mint eps probably have to be traded for—or bought for a pretty penny. Hazel A. if I’m wrong on this please correct me, as you’re definitely more technologically savvy than I. |

I tried once to figure out how to download from UTube but it was impossible. The directions given on how to... were all wrong. So I still have no idea how to download from Utube. But you can use your computer and a do-hickey you can buy and then hook that up to your computer and the other end of the wire to a DVD recorder, if you still have one, that is. Then record the show/movie in real time on the DVD recorder or even a VHS recorder if you chose. I talked about this before.

I know Hazel A doesn't care about these, but there are some pretty good Rick songs, and he sings them all on the show. Commercial sets like Mill Creek will cut those, since the music is probably still under copyright (which could be one reason for episodes to disappear from Youtube, potentially). Yes, he sings some that aren't so hot, too.
Yes, the Shout sets are pretty good, and do have some songs on them, to boot. I also think they have a couple of the color episode from season 14. The quality on most of those is pretty bad on Youtube, and some of them aren't in color. |

But I agree with you on this: If you love a show, buy the DVD sets or download them from the Internet because like you’ve said in the past, there’s no guarantee YT and other Internet “freebies” will stay up indefinitely. This is, of course with the caveat that you can afford to buy the sets, as the Pandemic has cut deep into many pockets. |

Another compelling reason to buy sets of the show if you can afford them. |
