Here is a sitcom that is from 1976 that starred Deidre Hall as a superhero before making it big on Days Of Our Lives. The show was called Electra Woman and Dyna-Girl that was part of the Kroft Supershow that also starred Judy Strangis as Dyna-Girl. The series featured Electra Woman with her electricity power and her partner Dyna-Girl as they went on adventures trying to stop villains wherever they went. With her awesome powers Electra Woman showed style and grace and this sitcom I believe would be the very first sitcom to feature female superhero characters. I wonder how Electra Woman and Dyna-Girl would fit in with today's female superheroes? I didn't even know about this sitcom until I saw the intro on Youtube and it sounded like a cool show

It's not a sitcom. The Lynda Carter Wonder Woman premiered several months before Electra Woman.
That being said, I watched Electra Woman and Dyna-Girl every Saturday morning as a kid, I was a huge fan of anything Krofft. It was rebooted in 2016, but I never watched that version: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt4644822/?ref_=ttco_co_tt |

I watched it when TV Land was airing it in either 2003 or 2004.

I also loved the show and wish it was more than one season. I loved the episode where Dyna Girl turns evil and Electra Woman has to get her back.

I recently spotted Judy Strangis in the Room 222 episode "Naked Came We Into the World," but I forget which website I saw it on.
I also saw it for Teri Garr more than any other reason, though. |
