No way. And by the 8th grade it's really odd for a kid to not have an allowance already.
Also they really showed Beaver's lack of maturity in that episode. Wally even warned him about the overspending but he was too busy sailin' to Billy Baxter. |

Spent a lot on baseball cards, sports equipment. But, still added to my savings account. Enjoyed watching my savings grow. Also my beloved bank book the teller would stamp the transaction information on. Sometimes her lines were crooked.
