Default How big is the island?

Sometimes they talk as if the island is HUGE, like a trip to the scary uncharted "other side" of the island, they speak of sometimes, is a full day trip.... but sometimes the island seems tiny, like on the opening, it looks pretty small

Big enough for Jungle Boy (Kurt Rusell) and Wrongway Feldman to have somehow never bumped into each AND big enough for Gladys the Gorilla's parents to have somehow met and had Gladys.

When I was a kid watching Gilligan's Island , when they mentioned " The other side of the Island" it did seem so scary and mysterious!!

Hmmm How big is the Island ?
Probably like asking what state does Leave it to Beaver take place ?

It's big enough to survive on and small enough not to be found ...

As the old saying goes, big or small enough for whatever the script needs that week.

Big enough to have a hangar and two airplanes hidden from them until Castaways On Gilligan's Island.

I didn't see any tents. There wasn't room for them on the three hour tour--too many other things they had to bring--like clothes for the fashion show, etc. (you never know when you might have to put on a fashion show during a three hour tour...)

Yes, Mrs. Howell was sure that a man's Colonial era suit complete with a tricorner hat would be necessary since no three-hour boat tour of the Honolulu area would be complete without being called upon to recite 'The Midnight Ride of Paul Revere'!
