Frankly I liked Regis much better as a talk show on Live With Regis and Kathy Lee and I think he was a terrible game show host. I couldn't watch Who Wants To Be A Millionaire while he hosted it. But may he rest in peace.

I was looking for Regis Philbin commercials and discovered on Youtube that Jimmy Kimmel had a special tribute to Regis on the Who Wants To Be A Millionaire revival. The clip begins with Jimmy saying this at the beginning "Before our show ends we must have a moment of silence to honor our special friend who was the original host of this show and will be missed by everyone including me" and then clips from Regis's Millionaire and Regis congratulating Jimmy on becoming the new host of Millionaire as well then Jimmy offers best wishes to Joy Philbin and the rest of the Philbin family and then the show ends with Regis singing Where Or When. I got shocked when I discovered this clip and it tells me that Jimmy Kimmel did a lot for Regis before he died and also mentioned in this clip was that Jimmy donated money to help with the Philbin family in times of need
