A look at what could have been in a TV reunion.
![]() Larry ![]() And we saw late 1970's Abner and Gladys on "Tabitha."

I'm not sure any reunion would have been any good. Elizabeth was right to not want to do it. Look at I Dream of Jeannie 15 Years Later - directed by Bill Asher. It's terrible in terms of a Jeannie story. And, again Asher assumed you could just replace the lead - Larry Hagman - instead of paying him a big check.

If a Bewitched reunion had happened I think it would have been with Sargent as Darrin and not York. Elizabeth preferred to work with Sargent, and she always praised his work on Bewitched, but she never praised York. Also Sargent and Liz remained friends until he died, they made public appearances together, so I can't see a Bewitched reunion without him playing Darrin.
Besides I don't think York would have been able do it, he tried to get back to the acting world in the 70s or 80s, but he had to give it up again due to his health. |

tcr1701 how come you said Liz should have been compassionate enough and take York's calls to say good bye to him, when he was dying?
There's something wrong here, I mean tcr1701 lately you've been trying to convince us that Liz and York were good friends, this is confusing, could you explain us? If they were good friends and got along, Liz wouldn't have had any problem taking York's calls and say good bye to him, right? ![]()

The idea that they were just work colleagues is non-sense. They were the TWO main reasons for the shows success. A show that ten's of millions of people watched and loved. If someone I didn't even like, whom I had the above type of relationship reached out to me as they were dying, I'd reciprocate. Even if I didn't like them. Why do you have such low standards for Elizabeth Montgomery? |

If York had behaved properly when he was with Liz, she wouldn't hate him, and she would have said positive things about York If you stare at a woman all the time in your job, and you have inappropriate behavior towards her, I'm sure that 20 years later that woman will still hate you and would refuse to talk with you. Liz just did what any other woman would have done in her place, period. |

Everyone else loved York. Even Asher had nothing really bad to say about him. Your sources are weak. Let's face it. Montgomery was threatened by York being the center of the comedy on her comedy TV show. And because of that, she wanted him fired and when he ultimately had to leave, she was fine with it. Even when it clearly damaged her show. |
