Default With Screech Being So Into Lisa, Why Was There Ever A Violet?

Forgive me if what I ask here is a dumb question, but for real, Screech was all over Lisa in every episode except for the three installments where Violet appears. To me, this writing occurrence only interrupted the story line's continuity.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

I think there had to be a Violet because Lisa just wasn't into Screech. With Lisa often dating other guys, Screech had no-one. It was nice to see him find someone who adored him, and it was a shame Violet wasn't continued in later episodes, or the spin-offs. He did need someone: those seven years on The New Class, where he was just a pathetic loser with no friends, were rough.

I'd like to add that although characters like Violet and Ox were very one-dimensional and cardboard, I do appreciate the fact that we got to see other semi-regular students at Bayside, and that it wasn't just the six main characters with one-off students. I like that attention to continuity, and I wish some other shows had been better about maintaining at least the illusion of other characters being regularly seen at the school.

Now that I think about it, I remember there being another girl besides Violet that took an interest in Screech during one episode. It is during the one named Zack's War.

God bless you always!!!

I remember that. I believe that her name was Linda and when Zack saw that she and Screech were a better fit, he stepped aside so that they could be together.

God bless you always!!!

Speaking of the semi-regular Bayside students, I went to IMDB to check out who all was a semi-regular. I remembered Ox, Violet, and I thought I remembered a Poindexter, but that is all I could remember. Here's the full list (or, at least, I think it's the full list of Bayside students who made more than one appearance):

Tori (10 episodes) [a regular Bayside student, but only for a half a season]
Ox (9 episodes)
Edgar Poindexter (4 episodes)
Sylvester (4 episodes)
Ginger (4 episodes)
Violet Bickerstaff (3 episodes)
Moose/Stan (3 episodes)
Louise (3 episodes)
Alan Fairbanks (3 episodes)
Ronald Geekman (2 episodes)
Rhonda Robistelli (2 episodes)
Maxwell Nerdstrom (2 episodes)

...anyone else belong on this list?

^^^ My most favorite recurring student character is the African American guy who suggests that holograms be used when putting together the year book that Zack suggested be made into a video instead. I can't help but love his voice.

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly

P.S. I can't remember every episode that we see him in, but I do remember him being in the graduation episode too. He is the guy who says during the first scene, "The dance class is doing Swan Pond.".
