A new film about the beloved late actor Pat Morita (The Karate Kid, Happy Days, Sanford and Son) is set for a Feb. 5 release. More Than Miyagi: The Pat Morita Story will be available February 5 on iTunes, Amazon, Vudu, Google Play, DVD and Blu-ray.

I dunno why they couldn't decide if he was Chinese or Japanese on Sanford and son lol

In couple of instances, he was refer to as Japanese. One was in the Japanese restaurant Fred opened up, and another as Japanese commander interrogating Fred and Lamont in "Sergeant Gork" episode.
