I went to the Yardhouse Restaurant and had....
Fried Calamari. Roughly $7 20 ounce Bone Rib eye Steak with Truffle Fries and Broccoli. Roughly $39. Coca Cola glass. Roughly $4. Brookie with ice cream, caramel, and whipped cream and powdered sugar. Roughly $10. With tax and tip, it was about $75. I had a $20 credit, so I paid about $55 out of pocket. Red Lobster. Surf And Turf(NY Strip Steak and Lobster Tail with fries). Roughly $36. The Sampler(Three different appetizers) Roughly $10. Mai Tai drink. Roughly $8. Chocolate Wave Cake. Roughly $5. With tax and tip, I spent about $75. What about you?

In 2008, in celebration of my new job, I ate at Joe's Crab Shack, treating a few family members and friends. I must have paid $150.
In 2013, in celebration of a major promotion, I invited family and friends to Outback. I must have spent $200. In 2019, I ate at a high-end restaurant in San Francisco. The total for my meal alone was around $100. There were no lights in the bathroom, only a few holiday lights strung along one wall, which made it very hard to do what needed to be done. I said for that price, they should be able to pay the light bill!

LOL, I am so cheap that probably the most expensive dinner I ever had was Dallas BBQ for maybe...$20, including drinks? I don't remember! And that's considered a luxury for me.

There's been quite a few but the one that most sticks out in my mind is when my fiance and I were in Zurich. Everything is expensive there but for his birthday one night we went out for hibachi. For the two of us it was approximately $200 in US dollars. When we get hibachi at home, it's usually $60-70, depending on what we order.

One had to be from about 2 years ago when I ordered this sushi/sashimi dinner from Ten in Park Slope, Bklyn. This cost more because it was made from fish imported from Japan. I believe it was $60.00+
I usually don't take pictures of my food, but this was one of my few exceptions.

The last most expensive restaurant (few years ago) was when I took my wife to the Portland City Grill to celebrate her birthday. Think it was just over $200

Am I seeing things, or is the bowl glowing? I used to go to school in Park Slope and lived just a short distance away by Grand Army Plaza. I heard it's really gentrified. Did you know that neighborhood was the site of a passenger airline crash back in the 1960s? |

I had ribeye steak and fries for about $50 at some obscure Restaurant called Amore or something like that that closed years ago!
EXPENSIVE! compare that to the $39 ribeye steak and fries I had in my OP. At Chili's , I had Ribeye steak and fries with free garlic bread for roughly $17 Mozzarella sticks. About $7 Tropical Sunrise Tequila. About $8 Lava cake dessert roughly $7 With tax and tip, I spent about $45. At Flannigan's, I had Ribeye steak and fries. Roughly $20 Mozzarella sticks. Roughly $7 Strawberry Daquiri. Roughly $6 Bonzai Brownie. Roughly $7 With tax and tip, I spent roughly $45. Not technically a Restaurant meal, but the most expensive pizza meal I have ever had was Pizza Hut. I ordered 2 large extra pepperoni, extra cheese, extra sausage with extra cheese and stuffed crust 2 large Ultimate Cheese Lover's with extra cheese and stuffed crust. A double order of cheese sticks. Triple chocolate brownie 2 Pepsi Liters Garlic, ranch, blue cheese, barbeque, buffalo medium, cheese cream icing, icing, marinara, honey BBQ, dips. With tax, tip, and delivery, it was about $125. Most single EXPENSIVE pizza order I have ever made. It was for 8 people and I figured each person could get 4 slices each. The very next time I ordered, it was about $100. I ordered 2 medium pizza bundles(Two medium pizzas with choice of three toppings(I only took advantage of two toppings on two of them pepperoni and sausage since two of the family Members prefer cheese pizza, ) with extra cheese on all four, cheese sticks and soda and I did this twice, so 4 medium pizzas, two sodas, two cheese sticks orders) and I ordered a huge chocolate chip cookie and triple chocolate brownie) and did about 6 dips. I actually weirdly enjoyed the MEDIUM pizzas over the LARGE pizza since I found the Medium easier to eat than the large pizza. Weird, huh...

Mine was either last March, before Covid shut everything down, or October of 2019. My husband and I were celebrating anniversaries and birthdays, and each bill was just a bit under $300. One restaurant was worth it, and one restaurant was not due to mediocre service.
