"Big Sky" Adds 5 to Cast
"Big Sky" Adds Michelle Forbes, Britt Robertson, Michael Raymond-James, Ryan Dorsey and Omar Metwally
by Nellie Andreeva Jan. 28, 2021 David E. Kelley’s hit freshman ABC drama series "Big Sky" continues to bulk up its cast with the addition of five high profile recurring guest stars. Michelle Forbes (The Killing) will play the mother, Margaret. She seems to be the picture-perfect ranch wife who knows her place, likes to bake and loves all of her children equally, but scratch the surface and there’s real steel beneath. Britt Robertson (Life Unexpected, For the People) will play the daughter Cheyenne Kleinsasser. Used to be Daddy’s (Ted Levine) girl, but that ended when she grew up, ran off and made some poor life choices. Her brothers don’t weigh her opinion at all, brushing aside her ideas for the ranch as feminine nonsense. Kyle Schmid plays one of her brothers. Michael Raymond-James (Once Upon a Time, True Blood) will play first-born son Blake Kleinsasser who turned his back on the ranch and went to the city to make his own way. He’s smart but a black-out drunk, and gets pulled back into the family dysfunction when he comes home to deal with the ranch. Ryan Dorsey (Stumptown) will play younger son Rand Kleinsasser. Rand’s wiry, smart and quiet with a coiled intensity. He loves his mother and hates her in equal parts. He is tormented by buried secrets. Omar Metwally (The Affair) will play Deputy US Marshal Frank Lindor. Or as he puts it; “a bounty-hunter with a pension.” Frank is brash, unbuttoned, and believes life’s too short to wear closed-toed shoes. He uses biting humor and brazenness as armor. https://deadline.com/2021/01/big-sky...ng-1234682392/ |

I like these new additions to the cast, should be interesting.
I'm still trying to figure out how Rick Legarski (John Carroll Lynch) survived being shot in the forehead on this show. |

It looked like it was a small caliber gun and I don't think the bullet went through his brain.
People can survive a gunshot to the head, like Gabby Giffords. |

^ Yeah I've heard of a few people surviving it. It does seem kind of rare and on the show he was shot in the forehead up above his eye making it look pretty deadly. But on TV anything goes.

Another cool thing that I realized is that this show is doing a The Silence of the Lambs reunion w/ casting Ted Levine and Brooke Smith.
I don't think they'll be sharing scenes together, but I could be wrong. |

Yeah that's cool, I'd forgotten they were in Silence of the Lambs. I like Ted Levine, he was good in The Bridge and On Becoming a God in Central Florida. Brooke Smith is okay but she comes off as being dour or grumpy in a lot of her roles.
