Movie Favorite horror films viewed during 2020

These are my picks for favorites of the horror genre I watched in 2020. Some were 2020 releases, others were older films, but first time watches for me during 2020.

That is awesome you're able to remember all the movies you watched last year If it wasn't for posting what I watched in the 31 days of horror back in October, I wouldn't remember the movies I watched. Class of 1984 is the only older horror film I really enjoyed. That's a mixture of the story and Perry King. The movie reminded me of Sometimes They Come Back. Fear Pharm was good. I didn't care for Spiral and The Furies. I like Daniel Isn't Real. That one was good. I watched the sequel to Once Upon A Time At Christmas; The Nights Before Christmas. I was glad they kept the same actors for the Santa killer and his wife. I read they're making a third one, One Christmas Night in A Toy Store. I can't wait for that one. All Through The House was another Christmas horror movie I watched last year. The acting is bad but the story had a good twist.

Did you know they made a new Wrong Turn sequel? I saw the trailer on YouTube awhile ago and thought it was a fan made trailer. It was real though. I haven't seen it yet. According to IMDb, it came out today. When I get time, I'll track it down and give it a watch. Hopefully it's better than part 6.

Trust me, it's not just from memory haha I post in the What's The Last Movie You Watched thread, so I went through that to help me remember what I had watched.

Love Class Of 1984. Probably one of the rare times Hollywood-movie punks felt real and not just look like rejects from a Mad Max movie.

I'll have to check out that Christmas horror movie, there's been a lot to come out the last few years.

I didn't know of a 7th Wrong Turn, wasn't there also a reboot/remake or something happening?

^I liked Turistas, came out during the trend of horror films about American travelers in a foreign country- Hostel, Borderland, The Ruins, the And Soon The Darkness remake.

Still haven't seen the Boy Brahms sequel, or the Insidious sequels.

I need to start using that thread to keep track.

Those Christmas movies are fun but nowhere near as great as Black Christmas the original. I think Black Christmas is the best Christmas horror film ever made. I love that there's no gore and it's all on suspense. That was really captivating.

I think this new Wrong Turn movie is the start of the reboot. The trailer doesn't show any of the incest hillbillies. I don't know if they're changing who the killers are for this.

I like these movies. 3 From Hell surprised me when I learned what it was about. Devil's Rejects ended in a way where I thought the franchise was over. I was glad to see a follow up.

I saw The Boy 2. I didn't care for it. I like Insidious sequels. I watch the series in order. 3 and 4 are prequels to 1 and 2.

Okay, that must have been what I was thinking on Wrong Turn, and I did read that it has little relation to the previous installments, almost as if it could have just used its own title.

And agreed on Black Christmas, watch it every December, still very creepy.

I should eventually get to this franchise, not sure why I've never watched any of them yet.

Also watched the Fantasy Island horror movie last spring, enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would.
