Default My Top ABC Shows

1. Benson
2. 500 Questions
3. Barney Miller
4. Head of the Class (1986)
5. Coach
6. Designated Survivor
7. The Wonder Years
8. Boy Meets World- First 4-5 seasons are the best.
9. The Middle
10. Home Improvement- great throughout but lost a step when JTT left
11. Mr. Belvedere
12. Happy Days
13. Bewitched- Dick York seasons are naturally better than Dick Sargent seasons.
14. The Practice- First 7 seasons are great. Season 8 with James Spader replacing Dylan McDermott as the lead setting up his Boston Legal spin-off was terrible.
15. Welcome Back, Kotter
16. The Kids Are Alright- a very close #2 to DAG for best ever one season sitcom
17. The Love Boat
18. Growing Pains
19. Leave it to Beaver- While it premiered on CBS, 5 out of 6 seasons aired on ABC.
20. The Patty Duke Show
21. That Girl
22. Mork and Mindy
23. Eight is Enough
24. MacGyver (1985)
25. The Addams Family
26. Ozzie and Harriet
27. The Courtship of Eddie’s Father
28. Hope and Faith
29. Once Upon a Time- Seasons 1-4 and 6 were really good. I didn’t like 5 much with either dark swan or hades arcs. Season 7 was terrible and shouldn’t have happened.
30. Once Upon a Time in Wonderland
31. For the People (2018)
32. Resurrection
33. No Ordinary Family
34. Charlie’s Angels (1976)
35. Sabrina, the Teenage Witch- There is a slight majority in seasons for ABC over the WB. But the ABC/high school era was much better.
36. The Greatest American Hero
37. Who’s the Boss? (1984)
38. George Lopez- First five seasons are good. Final season went downhill when Masiela Lusha left.
39. Who Wants to be a Millionaire? (Regis Philbin)
40. Castle- First six seasons are good. But the final two are awful with a mockery being made of Castle and Beckett’s marriage. Which sadly came from Nathan Fillion’s unprofessional hate for Stana Katic in real life and refusing to shoot scenes with her.
41. The Partridge Family
42. Too Close for Comfort- First five seasons are good. Final season went down with the daughters leaving.
43. The Good Doctor- was good its first two seasons. Season 3 featured Carly too much. At least she is gone, but who they killed off in the season finale is inexcusable.
44. According to Jim- nice family comedy with a mostly likable cast. But it would be a whole lot better without Andy the creeper.
45. Family Matters
46. Rich Man, Poor Man- Book I
47. Grace Under Fire
48. Laverne and Shirley- I have heard the final season without Shirley is horrible. But I didn’t get that far when watching it on the Hub.
49. Angie- The appeal of this show comes from Debralee Scott and Doris Roberts. Lead actress is just ok, which might be why Angie only lasted two seasons.
50. 8 Simple Rules for Dating my Teenage Daughter- John Ritter’s death couldn’t be avoided. But replacing him with no talent hack David Spade was a horrible decision.
51. The Jeff Foxworthy Show- This only ran two seasons, splitting one each between ABC and NBC. I much preferred Jeff’s ABC wife Anita Barone, so the show gets put here.
52. Galavant
53. The Odd Couple (1970)
54. Life with Bonnie- Season 1 is definitely preferable to season 2. Bonnie Hunt shouldn’t have fired Samantha Browne-Walters.
55. Less Than Perfect
56. Emergence
57. Kevin (Probably) Saves the World
58. Trivia Trap- I saw a few episodes on GSN awhile back, would be nice if it came to Buzzr.
59. Reef Break
60. Taxi- What I saw of this show was really good. But that was just two episodes, would probably be higher ranked on my ABC list if I had a larger sampling.
61. Speechless
62. Two of a Kind- I really liked this show when it was part of TGIF. But I haven’t seen it since originally airing.
63. Complete Savages
64. Gidget
65. Alex, Inc.
66. Last Man Standing- 1st season with Alexandra Krosney playing Kristin was easily the best, it is too bad Tim Allen screwed her over. Rest of the ABC seasons were still decent with the other original daughters still there. FOX has ruined it with their replacement Mandy, and Eve hardly appearing any more.
67. Better with You
68. The Brady Bunch- It still deserves a spot on this list, but I liked The Brady Bunch a lot more when I was younger.
69. Malibu Country
70. Surviving Suburbia
71. The Paul Lynde Show

Not ranked in this list is Bachelor Father. That is a favorite show of mine with a unique story: all of the big three broadcast networks aired Bachelor Father with it just lasting five seasons overall among NBC, CBS, and ABC.
