Default First time in life ever receiving mail on a Sunday and glad the DVD is here

I been catching episodes of Maude on Saturday mornings and they have been really enjoyable and now I can finally see the show in its unedited form. I think I will enjoy this a little more than All in the Family because of Florida the Maid and Maude and Walter relationship.

That’s great, TVFactFan! I hope you enjoy your DVD! I still enjoy All In The Family a little more than Maude although the relationship between Florida Evans from Good Times and Maude and Walter was nice.

I think the fact that Maude was 100% adult comedy from start to finish gets me excited to watch. All in the family had its not so great moments like the stephanie era and Gloria crying like a 4 year old and was supposed to be a grown woman

I prefer All In The Family over Maude because of one character. Archie Bunker. Although I don’t agree with the character’s political views, he’s fun and entertaining to watch. Yes, the Stephanie years were crap and a eleven year old has more maturity than Gloria when it comes to her damn crying but if it wasn’t for Archie staying in tact the whole series, I would’ve easily chosen Maude of All In The Family.

I like Maude more than All in The Family. If it weren't for Mike and Gloria, it might be different. Mike irritates me with his self righteous attitude and mooching off Archie while always insulting him and then you have Sally who overdoes her acting most of the time. Maude doesn't have this problem. The cast is perfect on this show and their characters are written better. I'm glad your set arrived. I enjoy mine. I watch it quite a bit.

Glad you're enjoying the Maude DVDs. I've been recording it off of Fetv and I get a kick out of those zingers Maude comes up with. I may buy the complete series later on.

Shout Factory really is a savior, releasing some of the greats that Sony abandoned on DVD. I'm loving my set as well. Glad you're enjoying Maude, the series that Good Times was spun off from.

Good Times was maude's 2nd cousin lol Yes I agree, Not only was it a series release but bonuses added to to shows like Maude and Jeffersons and Welcome Back Kotter
