Default Character's order of importance

Who would you vote "off the island" first/ last?

I think that Les could go and not be missed and I think that it would be a totally different show if Johnny was gone.

Order of removal( first to last);

Les
Herb
Mr. Carlson
Andy
Venus
Bailey
Jennifer
Johnny

Personally I believe anyone taken away from this cast would have ruined the show. They were all an integral part of the show. I would have missed Les a great deal, as any of the others.

Actually I think Bailey and Venus would be the first two to go, since they're the most underdeveloped characters. Les and Herb may act and look ridiculous, but they symbolize the hapless, pre-Andy/station-format-change era of the station, when they had more control. They're sort of the adversaries to Andy and Johnny.

This is interesting, I was just thinking the other day that what made, WKRP so good was its depth of characters, that each one was really good, played apart. It was like a team, take one out and it would fall apart.

So, as to the list, I would go,

Johnny
Jennifer
Mr. Carlson
Andy
Venus
Les
Bailey
Herb

This is going from most important to least important, right?

I feel like Jennifer is a little overrated as an important character, but she's still more crucial than Bailey. If you really needed two females in the cast, I would've made Mother Carlson a regular and gotten rid of Bailey (or demoted her to recurring).
