Exclamation Scott Baio Calls In FBI Over Online 'Threats'

Former Happy Days star Scott Baio has called in the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) after he allegedly received a series of online threats. The actor came under fire after he posted an unflattering picture of First Lady Michelle Obama on his Twitter.com page, along with a caption which read, "Wow. He (U.S. President Barack Obama) wakes up to this every morning."

The post attracted a slew of negative comments from his followers, and Baio replied insisting his message was taken the wrong way. He wrote, "People need to relax and laugh a bit. Life is too short no matter what party you are with. A joke is just that, a joke."

However, the star insists the reaction to his gag continued to escalate, and he alleges some of the messages he received became threatening.

He later informed followers of his Twitter.com blog that he had contacted authorities over the nasty posts: "PLEASE NOTE: The FBI has been contacted & we have a file number for the threats, along with Twitter support. Thx (thanks)."

You thought he would have learned before. I feel sorry for Bailey that has to grow with that. Poor child.....she would learn that her own father is just desperate for attention. Not a very healthy environment at all.

It shows that just because an actor plays a decent person on screen, does not mean he is a decent person himself which Scott Baio is not.

All of this basically comes down to a simple adage: if you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all. Sorry he got nasty threats though, but next time he might be better off not sharing snarky comments world-wide (which is basically what you do when you post on the Internet.)

I'm not saying he and others didnt go over the line when he first got online. It is inevidable when people go at you and your not used to it. Then everyione starts posting nutty stuff in trying to defend onesel. Till you get a hold of the inviornment online. I mean I did it. Thenb you look back on it and think ewhat was I thinkin, Not defending Scott he does that fine himself. I just can not stand grown people going after a child because her dad is a public figure. It is just wrong they need to leave her be.

I agree that pushback should be directly towards Baio, and not reference his children. But Scott’s assertion that his remark was just a silly joke is b.s. It was clearly a political swipe and wasn’t meant kindly. But threatening him is WAY over the top. I just hope, for his sake, his future criticism is more measured.

The thng is I was not on his twitter back when these huge twitter wars went down. What I see now it mostly people going at him. Scott seems to be handling things better. Scott just seems to be a tell it as it is italian, New Yorker from Brooklyn. He tells it as it is. He should not have to change but be himself. I think when most people get online in social media communtiy no matter age , the negativey they get takes them by storm. And in defense of themselves they end up talking out of the arse. Bringing themselves to the detractures level. I did it. Man I look back on it now and laugh. Cause dang I I was seriously tripping . but some were good come backs. It is a pure learning experience. With that said I give Scott the benefit of the doubt. The little tweet conversations I had with him he does not come across as hartless un feeling cruel person at all. Just makes his share of mistake like all people do.

I’d be willing to chalk it up to a mistake, but he’s not shy about giving out snark. Still I liked him as a child entertainer even though I don’t care for his politics.

you do realize you are telling someone to "STOP IT" by responding to a post that is over five years old - that sounds more like you are trying to stir something up for no reason.
