Default A Honeymooners XMas Day:

A Honeymooners XMas:

(Everyone is still at the party even though it is now close to midlnight.)

Alice's Mom: "Well Alice, turns out your fat husband is not going to make it here. It is too close to midnight."

Alice: "Mom, everyone our husbands are coming. Just you wait and see."

Trixie: "Alice, time to fold up the tent. It is now 11:59pm."

(Trixie opens the door and it's Ralph & Ed who were just about to open the door.)

Trixie: "Ralph & Ed."

Alice: "What happened?"

Ed: "Our cell phones died out and our bus got stranded. But, thanks to a miracle by this gentlemen, we got out all right."

Ralph: "Come on in Santa."

(Santa Claus (played by Drew Carey) comes in. Crowd cheers.)

Santa: "Merry Christmas to all. I had Ralph and Ed here COME ON DOWN to see what I did to the bus."

(Crowd cheers.)

Santa: "And I got gifts for you people. I thought you would like Price is Right merchandise."

(Crowd cheers.)

Ralph: "Come on guys. I say this all the time. Christmas is...well it's about the best time of the whole year. You walk down the streets even weeks before Christmas comes and there are lights hanging up – red ones and green ones. Sometimes there's snow. Everybody's hustling someplace. But they don't hustle around Christmas time like they usually do. You know, they're a little friendlier. They bump into you and they laugh and say 'Pardon me, Merry Christmas.' Especially when it gets real close to Christmas night. Everybody's walking home – you can hardly hear a sound. Bells are ringing, kids are singing, and the snow is coming down and boy, what a pleasure it is to think that you got someplace to go to and the place you're going to has someone in it that you really love. Someone that you're nuts about. Merry Christmas!"

All: "Merry Christmas!"

(They all hug.)

(The curtain starts to close. Jackie stops it.)

Jackie: "Ladies and gentlemen, we don't normally step out of character this way, but I want to change things up. Let's introduce every one of the cast. First: Jean Kean."

(Audience cheers.)

Jackie: "Audrey Meadows."

(Audience cheers.)

Jackie: "Art Carney."

(Audience cheers.)

Jackie: “Ethel Owen!”

(Crowd cheers.)

Jackie: “Also, Howard St. John. The guy who plays Alice’s Dad.”

(Crowd cheers.)

Jackie: "All right. Sammy Spear and everyone as you can see I am not like Ralph. I am not going to freeze while I am on stage. Hahaha! Let's all sing! Sammy, I hope you are sober."

(Crowd laughs.)

Jackie: "Let's all sing: 'Hark! The Herald Angles Sing'"

All (singing): "
Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the new-born King!
Peace on earth, and mercy mild,
God and sinners reconciled."
Joyful, all ye nations, rise,
Join the triumph of the skies;
With th' angelic host proclaim,
"Christ is born in Bethlehem."
Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the new-born King!
Christ, by highest heaven adored:
Christ, the everlasting Lord;
Late in time behold him come,
Offspring of the favoured one.
Veiled in flesh, the Godhead see;
Hail, th'incarnate Deity:
Pleased, as man, with men to dwell,
Jesus, our Emmanuel!
Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the new-born King!
Hail! the heaven-born
Prince of peace!
Hail! the Son of Righteousness!
Light and life to all he brings,
Risen with healing in his wings
Mild he lays his glory by,
Born that man no more may die:
Born to raise the son of earth,
Born to give them second birth.
Hark! the herald angels sing,
"Glory to the new-born King !"

(Everyone cheers.)

Jackie (yells): "MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT! THE MIAMI BEACH AUDIENCES ARE THE GREATEST AUDIENCES IN THE WORLD. GOOD NIGHT EVERYONE!"

(The crowd erupts with cheers.)

Lol! Nice work!

I see this is the edited version-- they cut the part where Jackie introduces Drew Carey at the curtain call.

Also, didn't the original airing use the Price is Right theme over the credits?

I take it you are not a fan of Drew.

Also, the TPIR theme won’t play over the end credits. A long time ago (2007 to be exact), I wrote a Honeymooners XMas skit with Celine Dion. In my mind, I had Celine Dions song”XMas Eve” play over the end credits.

Just taking the fanfic one step further!

I'm quite fond of The Drew Carey Show, as well as the Whose Line? franchise. Took me forever to cobble together a complete collection of those shows, including Improv-A-Ganza, and I still have one VHS left to digitize of a Whose Line cable special that aired only once a decade or so ago.

I still need the anaglyph version of the ABC 3D night Drew Carey episode. I have my glasses from that night, but the tape is long gone

Someone needs to step up and release that entire series properly. Maybe even a full HD remaster for Bluray?
