Default What was wrong with Penny’s mama’s sick ass…

When Penny runs to the bathroom door after being brought home by J.J., Penny’s mama says she locked it cause’ she knew it’d be the first place Penny would “hide” when she got home. If she locked the bathroom door, how the hell was anyone supposed to get in the bathroom? So did ANYONE go in that bathroom again? Was Ned The Wino in there drinking the toilet water? Damn, how stupid was Penny’s mama for even DOING that?!!

Maybe she had a key. But more important to me, that witch of a mother should have been arrested for SEVERE child abuse & thrown in jail. Now there’s a key that should’ve been thrown away. I always loved Wilona for adopting Penny. IMO, Wilona was the only GOOD thing on this tired-a## show.

Well something tells me that 7/10, Penny’s mama didn’t have a key, a mechanic, or a locksmith. And how about James? He was the HEART and SOUL of the show.

John Amos was a good actor, but when a show has shi##y writing, thin plots and cliches galore, even a good actor can’t overcome this. And poor Esther Rolle, she’s a fine actress and deserved better writing as well.

IMO My vote for the purported heart and soul would be Florida. But if it hadn’t been for Wilona, I would have never watched the show.

Some do. Mine does, so I’m real careful. But I’m not complaining as I have an $800 studio in Manhattan. Which would be like having one for $300 in Philly.

You can’t now! I’m rent-stabilized and got mine 27 years ago for about 500.

And it was obvious that the door didn’t lock from the outside because if it did how was Penny NOT able to open it? Plus, Penny’s mama would’ve had at least enough sense not to lock the door from the OUTSIDE cause’ if it would’ve been able to lock from the outside, Penny would’ve gotten through the door with EASE lol

I can't believe GT Fans on here think that the room that Penny tried to hide in was the bathroom. It was Penny's room!

I have a door in my house where the lock is OUTSIDE
....
Really strange... I guess the ONLY theory I can come up is to prevent Burglars from accessing our house from the back since that door is access to the back of our house....

Please rewatch the episode or maybe I’m just BLIND and DEAF. That makes even less sense than Penny’s mama locking the bathroom. So she had to have locked the bathroom.
