Default Board games on shelf during Cafeteria years

I noticed during the cafeteria years that there were board games on a shelf in the background, including the Ouija board from Season 1.

I wonder if the board games were for props, for the cast members to play during down time, or both. Don't recall them playing board games during the cafeteria years.

Great topic!

'80sSitcoms took some screenshots of the "board game shelf" a few years back, and we were able to identify most/all of the games. I see in "Runaway", at the beginning, there are a number of puzzles as well. In that episode, Miko suggests playing Backgammon to Tootie (but Tootie runs off).

They were props. They did use the Monopoly game as an active prop, in "Gossip". Tootie carries it from the lounge into the cafeteria, then upstairs into the hallway, and then into the girls' room. They also played cards in several S2-4 episodes, including "Teacher's Pet".

There's another episode where Tootie mentions her Monopoly game, but I forget which one.

Guys, which board game would you have most liked to see the girls play?

They could have also been there for the actors to play during down time or when between breaks in filming.

Actors playing with set props would have been discouraged. They might have had games in their dressing rooms, but you don't mess with the stuff on the set.

They were props for sure. But studios can be extremely touchy about props, so the girls may not have been able to touch them unless they were called for in a scene.

And come on guys, they played Scrabble in season 2! Jo didn't want Mrs. Garrett to stand there and "kibitz"! I'm disappointed you guys don't remember that.
