CHCH Fantasy Island farewell marathon weekend - Sat Dec 12/Sun Dec 13

After next week, "Fantasy Island", which can be seen every weekday at 12 noon on CHCH TV, will no longer be part of the regular daytime retro schedule. It will be replaced by "The Prisoner" starring Patrick McGoohan from 1967. That series will be immediately followed by the original "Hawaii 5-0" one of the most successful and longest running drama series of the 1970s which (naturally) has inspired its own reboot which is now currently on CBS. Before "Fantasy Island" ends, CHCH has planned a special sendoff marathon scheduled for this weekend Dec. 12-13 during the afternoon hours. These episodes are all 90 minutes long rather than the usual 60 which results in having them being shown separately from the others. These are the episodes that will be seen starting tomorrow:

Saturday Dec. 12

1:30 "Let The Good Times Roll/Nightmare/The Tiger"

3:00 "Pentagram/A Little Ball/Casting Director"

4:30 "The Skater's Edge/Concerto Of Death/The Last Great Race"

Sun Dec 14

2:00 "The Devil And Mr. Roarke/Ziegfeld Girls/Kid Corey Rides Again"

3:30 "Magic Camera (with Bob Denver)/Mata Hari/Valerie"


After CHCH's "Bewitched" weekend marathons last October, I was thinking and hoping that these might become a regular thing at the station as a way of expanding their retro lineup and happily I was right. Once the Christmas holidays end, we'll see what they do in the New Year.
