Default A former Supermarket Sweep team played again for a second chance

If you were able to catch last Sunday's Supermarket Sweep episode you might've realized that one of the teams that competed were originally from the David Ruprecht version of Supermarket Sweep. Although they weren't able to win the Mega Sweep prize they ended up walking away with $50,000. You might be able to find the episode of the original David Ruprecht Supermarket Sweep on Amazon Prime to see how the team originally did for the first time. But it was a great episode worthy of watching

I think the original Supermarket Sweep still has episodes on Netflix too, and also quite a few can be found on YouTube.

I thought on the new version if you don't cash out going for the higher amount and lose, you lose everything and don't get to keep the $50,000. It's a double or nothing stakes for 25 to 50, and 50 to 100.

Technically the David Ruprecht version isn't the original either. That would be Bill Malone's version from 1965-1967 that was set in a real supermarket.

Hi, Bestie! I will look for that! I want to compare how the original compares with the new version with the same contestants. Thanks for the info!

There's a poor quality print of a 1967 episode that's been uploaded to YouTube.
