I know that this on paper, just sounds like a conspiracy theory but please hear me out for a moment. I believe that it was roughly around the same time that he joined the cast of Silver Spoons that Coca-Cola bought out Embassy from Norman Lear. One thing that took me aback while reading into this is that Francis T. Vincent Jr., the future Commissioner of Major League Baseball, was the president of Coca-Cola’s entertainment business sector at the time.
