No more Peanuts holiday specials on free TV - Page 3 - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

The only reason why Apple TV got the chance to air the Peanuts holiday specials is they have become the king of Peanuts cartoons and specials starting with the debut of Snoopy In Space last year and now that Apple TV is also gonna have another Peanuts cartoon debut in 2021 they will officially become Peanuts king. The other reason why the Peanuts holiday specials will not air on TV is because the contract to air the Peanuts specials possibly expired and to show them on streaming apps is a cheaper thing to do. When you look at it CBS was the original home of the Peanuts holiday specials but then somehow ABC got smart and decided to air them. But you can still find them on DVD every year but Apple TV should at least offer the specials for free to new Apple TV subscribers for November and December as part of a holiday deal

I really don't know the details but somehow PBS has worked out a deal where they'll get to broadcast A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving this weekend and Merry Christmas Charlie Brown in December, check your local listings. The PBS station in my area is showing A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving this Sunday evening at 7:30/6:30 Central. I'm in the Central Time Zone so I'll be watching it at 6:30, this makes me very happy!
