Default The Unexpected appearance of the Jeffersons on a season 3 episode of Good Times

On a magazine in the episode JJ in Trouble

JJ is reading a Ebony Magazine and the Cast of the Jeffersons is on the front cover. This is the January 1976 Issue of Ebony Magazine and this episode was made on January 22, 1976, the same month.

Cool find! I never noticed that. This is a coincidence. So what does this mean then? Did the family know about George and Weezy Jefferson?

Maybe Norman Lear was indirectly promoting one of his other shows lol

The only TV shows I recall the Evans mentioning was

Donny and Marie
Sonny and Cher
Waltons
Sanford and Son


Never mentioned the Jeffersons

Yeah, that seems too much a coincidence! I think Norman Lear knew about George & Weezy on that Ebony cover and got the idea for JJ to he reading it on a Good Times ep. in hopes of viewers maybe noticing !
