The egg. The fossil record of reptile eggs goes back at least as far as the Early Permian, between 298 and 272 million years ago. The earliest known bird, Anchiornis, is from the Late Jurassic, around 160 million years ago. Crocodiles and turtles were laying eggs long before any chicken-like creature ever existed.

You know what, it’s all confusing. The egg hatches the at-the-time baby chick but who or what lays the egg?

The chicken is first. When God created the earth, all the animals were part of his direct creation. He gave chickens the ability to lay eggs, so eggs would naturally be second after chickens knew that was their job.

That's an interesting theory too !

So it could be the egg first !Birds actually evolved from dinosaurs, so a type of dinosaur could have actually laid an egg that hatched into a chicken ?

So IDK ? I voted chicken and that is what I think on one hand but on the other I can see possibly where it could be the egg!
