Since he didnt throw him out the house. Before he got there he was saying how he was going to throw donald out of the house and then when he saw donald was in his age bracket and taller he didnt have the same aggression

To be honest when I first saw this episode I was disappointed that james allowed a old ass man like that remain inside his house without throwing him out.

I thought Donald was a few years older than James but yeah I see what you mean. Not only was Thelma too be engaged but she had a boyfriend who was old enough to be her father lol it’s not like James to have Donald stay in his house

This episode of Good Times reminds me of that ODAAT four parter where Julie was dating this 40 something veterinarian who worked at her job as well but I would’ve whooped Donald’s butt for dating my technically underage daughter lol but the most distrusting thing is that Louis Gossett who played Donald later went on to play J.J., Thelma, and Michael’s uncle lol
