Yep it did but most of the episodes were edited syndicated versions. Only 7 episodes or so were uncut.

That maybe the most pointless release in DVD history, short-lived show like that is edited? crazy

I also mentioned that you were welcome to ask Sony why they are not presented the way you want them. What is so rude about that? Did you want me to ask them for you? These are super rare shows that arent available to the public presented in great audio and video quality. Which is pretty awesome in my opinion. Sorry if you took my reply as rude. it was not intended to be.
No, that wasn't my complaint. I was reffering to the "film" look presented and not the "videotaped" version which I was expecting. I actually own ABP's first season, and much like a standard Norman Lear show - it looks the way it should - as it was shot on videotape and not on film.

"Black bars" really don't bother me as much, and we've already agreed on the fact these shows are rare.

I'm glad to hear your customers recieve the treatment you describe and that it wasn't your intention to be rude, but say you were to purchase a vehicle from an agency and problems were found with it - would you take it kindly if the agency told you to take it to the manufacturing company?

Just want to put in my two cents about and to Mantronix. I ordered ABP, All's Fair and 704 Houser st. a couple of weeks ago. Shipping was fast and I am very pleased with my purchases. No complaints here. Also bought Gloria about a month ago and am happy with that, too. The editing is not a big deal to me in ABP, I have an older set that for the most part was taped off of TV ( not family net) that has the episodes mentioned here that are edited ( 5) not as edited, so it evens out. I am happy with the quality of Mantronix's set, it is much much better than what I had, especially seasons 2-4 that were taped off Tv on my other set. This means a lot to me. Very clear sharp picture and the audio is great. This seller has always been kind to me. I am glad I bought them and would recommend the sets.

Once again I do apologize if any of the comments on here came off as an attack.

I've had nothing but great experiences with the Mantronix store and will definitely keep purchasing as long as it stays in business.

We can live with all the topics we were discussing. None of that has any impact of future purchases, at least for me. I may hold off on purchasing sets right away but I'll definitely get around to purchasing other sets during the holiday season.

As far as pricing goes, that's subjective. We base what we'll consider paying based on our level of interest in a show. To each their own when it comes to that matter.

In regards to the Archie Bunker's Place set we also need to consider the time and effort spent creating that set. We're not just paying for the show, we're paying for the effort spent to create that set and the materials used. Most sellers send their discs in sleeves. We get full artwork and cases so that definitely a plus.

Sir, I can't honestly answer that question because the problems that you found are not with the product but with your personal preference.

Take a look at Winnie's response. She bought the same vehicle as you did.

Best Wishes.

I suggest you take a look at this upload of ABP's season 1, for instance:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PTd0Akgmiz4

Even though it could do better visual-wise - the framerate is correct and the characters are moving "smoother". That's the videotape look and this is the way it should look like.

Mantronix Retro TV, any chance you will have Sanford and What’s Happening Now available as digital downloads in the near future? Also any chance you can add 227?
