Default Imdb trivia about Molly

Did you know that Molly R. went to school with Shavar Ross (Dudley of Diff'rent Strokes)??

Source: Imdb (Without the source, Mr. Parker could suspend me )

They were in "The Slumber Party" together, so I wonder if this was the studio school, or somewhere else.

But Shavar doesn't appear in TSP.

Didn't say what school he went to. Molly never went to the studio school, she went to her own boarding schools.

He was also 3 years younger than Molly, so I doubt they were in many, if any classes together.

Do we really know that Molly never attended studio schools? We know Molly attended Lycee Francais for high school, but presumably that was only grades 9-12. Molly stated in the Susan Sarandon video that they filmed The Tempest in New York and Greece. The Tempest was filmed from July to November 1981, according to the American Film Institute. It wouldn't have been possible for Molly to have attended Le Lycee Francais in Los Angeles while shooting The Tempest in New York and Greece.

I'm sure you're right, but some sources put him in the episode. This is likely a mistake.

Molly was in studio schools during her John Hughes films (there are photos of her with her co-stars) as probably during the filming of the Tempest. There was an earlier posts about some of Molly's classmates opinion of her at the school she attended around the times that Facts of Life first season was filmed.

Kim talked about after the first season ended that only she and Nancy McKeon were in the studio school. Mindy probably was going to Westlake. Lisa either was home schooled or graduated already.

Some other trivia:

Her first acting break was as Kate in the West Coast production of "Annie".

Turned down the Julia Roberts role in Pretty Woman (1990) and the Demi Moore role in Ghost (1990)

Refused the Lea Thompson role in Some Kind of Wonderful (1987), ending her successful business relationship with John Hughes, who was furious.

Unfortunately Imdb doesn't mention the name of the school.
The trivia is:
(Shavar) "Went to school with Molly Ringwald, Milla Jovovich, Stephen Dorff, Nicole Eggert, Scott Grimes and Moon and Dweezil Zappa".

Yeah, this is a mistake. The site you linked me put Mary Jo Catlett, Dody Goodman and Janet Jackson in that episode but their characters debuted one season later (Janet and Mrs. Goodman) and two years later for Pearl.

I'm pretty sure Kim mentions in her book the fact that Lisa had already graduated by the beginning of season 2 and that Mindy was still going to Westlake

Yeah, I remember you digging up that page, which I thought was a cool find... I can't imagine people still being mad about Molly being a bit snooty back then. She was a kid, and everyone involved are now adults.

Yes, I remember that passage from Kim's book. In the part Kim is talking about, the Lost Girls had already been shown the door. Kim does say that Lisa had already graduated early. So by S2, the only FOL girl with Kim at the studio school was Nancy McKeon.

Kate must have been "Orphan #5"!

Molly seems to have missed the boat on some huge film roles. (Then again, is that all that surprising? This is an actress who turned down free school lunches at Eastland, calling them her "worst job ever" )

Though Molly has had a comeback in 2008. She still currently has had the most success of all the Eastland girls. She was first in "The Secret Life of an American Ager" and then "Riverdale", playing the mother of lead characters in both. Plus she has a role in as the mother of the lead character of the "Kissing Booth" movie series. While she is now a supporting cast member, she still keeps busy. Plus she is busy with her kids modeling careers.
