Default TVs actors you didn't like in one role but liked in another--and vice versa

I know this is sacrilegious but I never liked Audrey Meadows as Alice in The Honeymooners. As much of a pompous blowhard Ralph was and deserved to be put down, I never sided with Alice because I thought Meadows played Alice a little bit too cocky, judgmental and snide. Worst of all, she came across as cold to me. Trixie would always yell at Ed but you could sense that she was a fun loving girl who probably enjoyed going out with him and having a lot of laughs when he wasn't being frustrating because Joyce Randolph gave off a a feeling of warmth. Audrey Meadows not so much.

On the other hand, I loved her on Too Close for Comfort. She was a perfect foil for Henry (Ted Knight) even though she was playing more or less the same type of role. On that show, she would put down Henry but I never felt like she was vicious or arrogant.

Loved Kevin James as Doug on King Of Queens, disliked him as Kevin on Kevin Can Wait.

@catsrule: Wow, that's an impressive list! Can you share a reason that made you flip on one of these actors, like the other posters? I'm curious!

I didn't care for him on Head of the Class, either, even though I loved him on WKRP.

A lot of the examples I gave I like the one show, but have never cared for the other show. For Soleil Moon Frye, I had never seen Punky Brewster until Peacock launched this year, instantly became a fan. Sabrina I like the high school/ABC era a lot more than the college/WB era. Roxie, Morgan, and the guy who lived with them and Sabrina were a lot less likable than Jenny, Valerie, and Libby. (Libby was mean but that part was acted well.) The Facts of Life was a good show its first seven seasons when Charlotte Rae was the star. But Cloris Leachman was a poor replacement when Charlotte left, the girls were old enough to be on their own then with Blair and Jo all grown. Her senile grandma character on Raising Hope was played really well though. I am a Without a Trace fan, but Steven Weber's character was someone who had it in for Jack Malone. Fortunately that arc didn't last long. Dianne Wiest was funny on Life in Pieces, but unlikable on Law and Order. Fred Dalton Thompson and Steven Hill I much preferred in the DA role there. Will Estes's 7th Heaven role was not someone I cared for. But he is integral to Blue Bloods.

I've never liked actress Nancy Travis on any sitcom I've seen her in. Except I like her as Vanessa on Last Man Standing, I actually think she's got good chemistry with Tim Allen who plays her husband Mike on the show. I can't explain it, maybe it's the writing and the character I don't know. Because other than Last Man Standing I've always thought she was annoying and uninteresting in anything else I've seen her in.

YES.

Also, here are my likes/dislikes:

Nicholas Brendon - loved him on Buffy as Xander; hated him as Kevin Lynch on Criminal Minds.

Courteney Cox - loved her as Monica on Friends, disliked her as New Girlfriend on Family Ties (she couldn't hold a candle to Ellen).

In my opinion, I think Bob Newhart was great in both The Bob Newhart Show & Newhart than he was in Bob & George and Leo
