We all know Edna made some delicious food at both Eastland and at her shop, Edna's Edibles. But what dish do you think was the least appetizing? (Explain why, too).

Yeah, I was gonna say, if you want to see some examples of regrettible edibles, fans should watch "Gamma Gamma or Bust," because there's plenty of recipes in that episode they made that were so disgusting. Jo, Tootie, and Nat just threw together whatever the %$#! was in Edna's kitchen to make that Chinese food, and it was strictly barf-o-rama
. Vinegar and Ovaltine for a sweet and sour sauce? That was the worst thing to come out of Edna's kitchen! Terrifying combination. WTF were they thinking? Why were they following celebrity cook book in the first place? Did they seriously think that was a good idea and that they'd get away with those recipes? They should have never followed that celebrity cook-up book nonsense, and Mrs. G should have asked Blair what she wanted upfront, and never assumed, and the Jo, Toot, and Nat should have been transparent to Blair and Mrs. G about making that Chinese food. They meant well, but it didn't turn out well. But then again, they were learning The Facts of Life . Poor Mrs. G's business was off to a rough start when the girls used her name to make that horrible food. The Gamma girls went with it at first only because the 'Facts' ladies managed to convince them, albeit lying, that they catered people associated with Calvin Klein, but then Boots called their bluff in the following scene. Very funny episode!

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I know, it's so bad to even think about. Who would use vinegar and ovaltine to make Chinese food?! Quote:
My favorite scene in that episode is the scene where they decide to stick the more questionable entrees on the back part of the table... so they end up pushing everything to the back of the table! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() But we haven't dug very deep, just yet... there are many more questionable, regrettable edibles we haven't disgust yet. (Get it? 'Disgust'?) |

I give you Exhibit Z: Lid Pizza from "A Slice of Life". Unlike the vinegar and ovaltine monstrosity in "Gamma Gamma", this pizza wasn't even edible, after being severely damaged. At least the "Chinese food" looked edible!

Let us hope not, especially with Natalie's fingers gripping it like that, and Tootie grinding part of her fingernail into the cheese.
I should also mention the pizza Jo used as a sponge, the low-quality pizzas with freezer burn, and of course the pizzas that didn't make it, which Natalie says were "put out of their misery": |

I was going to point out the “Jo’s Pizza” episode and the nightmare pizzas they made later in that episode. However, since it was Jo’s pizza business, and not the Edna’s Edibles business, although they used their ingredients and their kitchen to make them, I’m not sure if those pizzas counted as a regrettable edible.
