As a fan of horses and a reader of horse books I discovered a family drama called The Adventures Of The Black Stallion that aired on The Family Channel that was based on The Black Stallion book series written by the late Walter Farley and as a fan of The Black Stallion book series I was shocked at how good the series was and how well the series followed the books. The Adventures Of The Black Stallion starred the late Mickey Rooney and cartoon voice actor Richard Ian Cox as the character Alec Ramsay. I have been looking for the complete series on DVD but have only found it once at Walmart. It's surprising that horse fans didn't know that this horse drama existed when it debuted and there should be more dramas that feature horses like The Adventures Of The Black Stallion because it was so exciting to watch

I just saw The Adventures Of The Black Stallion on DVD and I was amazed at how great The Adventures Of The Black Stallion was and it's a good adaption of the Walter Farley books and I wonder why The Adventures Of The Black Stallion was cancelled after so many seasons? And Richard Ian Cox was perfect for the role of Alec Ramsay and his talent really shined in this show. And what really surprised me was the late Mickey Rooney was excellent in the role of Henry the Black Stallion's wise trainer and I didn't know Mickey Rooney starred in the show until I saw The Black Stallion movie and was shocked at how well he acted in The Adventures Of The Black Stallion. This show was excellent when it first came out on The Family Channel and Up Channel should pick up the reruns of it to add to their lineup because it's a wonderful family drama that families can watch together

I have now completed the first disc of The New Adventures Of The Black Stallion on DVD and now have started the second disc and I can say that The New Adventures Of The Black Stallion is very exciting to watch and feature lots of adventure and excitement. I also found out that the late sitcom star Abe Vigoda was featured as a guest star in The New Adventures Of The Black Stallion too

I wondered why The New Adventures Of The Black Stallion was suddenly cancelled? Because it was a cool drama show that centered on horses and the thrill of horse racing and in the second season towards the end Alec and The Black Stallion win races in France and the scenes in France were well done. The show's opening theme song is amazing too. Another fact about this show was it was produced by Alliance/Atlantis too

Hi, Bestie! The Adventures Of The Black Stallion has been a great story for many years. I read the book when I was young and watched the movie with Mickey Rooney. I hope they bring it back.
