** i prefer typing with small letters.. i hope this doesn't offend anyone.
3 STOOGES EPISODE COMMENT this episode has unusual aspects which wouldn't appear to be worth doing with a "short".. there are 3 "edits" all at the very beginning of the story.. the edits, in no order: I. the opening has the stooges in an office at scotland yard.. a detective briefs the stooges about their assignment.. they are to go to "glenheather castle" and protect the valuables of "his Lordship".. the next scene is a shot of the castle, built near a cliff.. a voice-over announces "Glenheather Castle, on the Bonny Banks of Scotland, but 'tis late and the Bonny Banks are closed".. the words are also depicted over the castle shot.. II. the opening shows the castle shot; the word display is the same, but there is no voice-over.. III. the opening is the same as (II) above; the word display is the same but without the voice-over and the comment "..but the Bonny Banks are closed".. ** is this real? im still not sure i actually saw this: a 20-minute comedy short, for the 3 stooges yet, with three openings.. why would this be done? could it be something to do with money? could it be tailoring for specific audiences? ** also, films with different names. kirk douglas made a film, "the big carnival", a contemporary film about a mine collapse in the west, and how a reporter cashes in on the commercial aspects of manipulating the rescue operations.. the film also has the title "ace in the hole".. why do makers do this? ive seen many films with various titles.. is it about attracting a bigger audience? were there legal or other issues with a previous title? |

i don't know; i was a member of a forum which forbid typing in all upper-case or all lower-case letters.. they had control issues, naturally, and i figured i'd be better off without them than with them.. gee, i was hoping i would have a reply to my stooges post..
