Since we were talking about this in another topic, can you explain why the school had a new headmaster every year? We have:
1. Mr. Crocker 2. Mr. Bradley 3. Mr. Harris 4. Mr. Parker 5. Mr. Morehead 6. Blair These are the headmasters that appeared on screen, so we don't know if there were other people. I remember Kimberly said Crocker was new, so there was another headmaster before him. We know Mr. Morehead quit and Blair sold the school. Probably they sent Crocker away because he was unstable and bossy and Bradley due to the Group ![]() ![]() What do you think? |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I don't know that Mr. Bradley was fired because of "The Group", but I think you are right about Mr. Crocker being unstable. I prefer to think Mr. Bradley realized he worked better with boys, and returned to Bates Academy (he says he worked at a boys' school before working at Eastland). Mr. Crocker likely didn't find much more headmaster work after spending some time in the straightjacket ward at the local hospital.

Crocker was a crackpot.
Bradley was fired for being too chummy with those particular seven girls. Weirdo! Harris was a buffoon. |

Reasons for so many Headmasters.
Mr. Crocker was too cartoony of a character. John Lawlor was fired along with the lost girls after the first season. Mr. Harris was just mentioned in a few episodes and only shown in one. Not sure why he wasn't retained after the second season. Mr. Parker was the most realistic acting headmaster in the show. |

Am i the only one who actually liked THE CROCK????
On the contrary of all of you guys, i found MR CROCKER hilarious and quite a good match for MRS G: it was amazingly funny the way they clashed on the pilot 'The girls school', and i think he delivered a great performance!!!! PS: what's wrong in having a crazy/eccentric headmaster? |

Yeah, Mr. Parker felt like the only real headmaster. The others were a little too wacky or didn't have the professionalism I would expect from a headmaster.

Yeah, Mr. Parker was definitely the consummate professional... well, at least until Season 5, when he became difficult and demanding to Mrs. G.

I don't agree with any of you this time: MR BRADLEY was a lot warmer to me and caring to the girls, whereas MR PARKER was kind of cold and distant!!!!
It's my opinion anyway.... |

Mr. Parker maintains a professional distance: he knows their names, he's happy to talk with them, but he's not following them up to their bedrooms. |
