It was a pilot for another spin off that never materialized. That same season Tandem Productions tried with that Brian and Sylvia episode of Facts of Life. It was okay for me but I don't think the actual series would have worked

I watched Good Times religiously for the first three seasons. After James' death I continued to watch but not as I did in the past. Same with the other show with Rolle and Amos, Maude, the first three/four years.

Some episodes are only for Live TV and that is one of them. Definitely a episode Antenna TV should skip

I recognized Rosalind Chao as well and have noticed her over the years, so I was super excited to see her beginnings on this show. I actually didn’t mind this episode.
