Default Shudder Streaming Channel

Does anyone subscribe to this and recommend it? I came across it while looking for new horror films to watch and it looks like a good channel to get. I think for $5.99/month to get unlimited horror films to watch is a pretty good deal when streaming just one film on Amazon can cost almost as much.

My daughter signed up for it when she came home from college earlier in the year for the lock down. For paid streaming service it's the best selection for horror. They do a lot of turn over so you won't see the same titles sitting there forever.
They also have TV shows, both their own and shows from other channels.

We also have Amazon Prime. There's quite a bit of horror to find free to Prime, though I know it has a lot of the same stuff as Tubi.

Thanks for the info. I'm going to sign up for it and give it a try. I really like Tubi, but I think it's worth paying a few bucks to have it commercial free. And i'm curious to check out their original stuff.

I had Amazon Prime a few years ago and found most of the horror films on there to be terrible...a lot of them seemed like home movies made on tiny budgets. I can't count how many times I started a horror movie on there only to shut it off after 5 minutes.

Same here. As soon as I see the bad acting and the quality of the film, I shut it off. Now Shudder has some good exclusive made movies. My favorite is Haunt. It's a Halloween movie and takes place on a haunted tour of a building. If you get Shudder, I recommend checking that one out.

Just wondering if anyone has seen Shudder's "Creepshow" series?

I watched the first few episodes, it was awful. One good story was from the first episode about a girl and a creepy doll head that moves around her dollhouse.

Didn't expect much since it was produced by James Glenn Dudelson who gave us Creepshow III and Day Of The Dead 2 Contagium

Haunt was really good. Makes a good double feature with Hellfest. I'm a sucker for movies set around Halloween haunts/attractions.

I've become more impatient towards the super low budgeters of the last 20 years, I'm a huge fan of the shot-in-the-backyard shot on video stuff of the 80s/early 90s. But, some of the stuff that shows up on Amazon Prime, I've either not bothered after the trailer, or if no trailer, like you said after about 5 mins.

I'll check both of these out, and perfect timing with Halloween coming. I want to look at the trailers but they always give so much away in them these days that I try not to look at them, so i'm just going to play these 2 films completely blind after I sign up.

And then you see tons of 5 star reviews on the film page that you know are made by people who made the crappy film.

^That image is from Hell House, one of the few recent films to genuinely creep me out. Too bad the 2 sequels weren't remotely as good.

The films I haven't seen on that list yet are Terrified, Witch In The Window, and Blood Quantum

Just checked this again and now it is back to the original photo.

A few days ago it was this horrible looking boy sitting at a table with a glass of milk.
