Red face What Kind Of Parents Are They?!

Does anyone remember the ep where Brian needs help with a school project and Michaela tells him she'd help him the next morning.. and as this is going on Scully is like taking off her clothes.. so she'd rather *you know what* then help her son?! Her adopted son, I'll add.. I think that is sickening!

Now I haven't seen this in **years** so I could be bit wrong, but that detail is still there...

I faintly remember this episode. When Brian asked for help, it might have
been pretty late at night, and she thought he should be in bed. Besides,
maybe she thought he needed to do some of it himself, I mean, she can't
do his homework for him. (She wasn't like Mrs. Oleson on Little House.)

Lol, yes you remember this episode correctly. Michaela and Sully were newlyweds. Brian asked for Mike's help as her and Sully are getting it on and she says she'll help him in the morning. The next morning, she forgets and Brian goes to wake her up as her and Sully are once again *ahem* she gets up and helps him.

I kind of like that episode, because it shows that Michaela and Sully weren't that perfect all the time.

She chose to get married instead of keeping the kids her first priotry. She shouldn't have done that. Lots of men now get it that they will be second fiddle in a new family and they should be.

Your kids come first, then a stranger.

Huh? Sully wasn't a stranger to Michaela anymore. They knew each other before she had to take care of the Cooper kids.

Your kids are your kids for the rest of their lives (unless they are adopted and THEY choose to get out).

Your spouse was once a stranger and can quickly become one again.

You can replace your spouse, but you cannot replace your kids.

Yet again, Michaela knew Sully before she became a foster mother. So I don't see how that applies to this situation.

Furthermore, it is hardly easy for everybody to replace a spouse.

Technically you could replace your spouse everey 6 months, so that is pretty easy to do.

Your stuck on Sully not being a stranger now. You kids are NEVER a stranger to you (unless you are adopting). That is a big difference.

If I have to make a choice between someone who was a stranger and who could become one again and someone who was never a stranger and no real way to become one, I would chose the later instead of the former.

My loyalty will always be with my son and not his dad simply because I have known my son all of his life. His dad was once a stranger and is now a stranger again. Thats all.

Well, these kids are foster children (later adopted). Like you said yourself, that will make some difference.

And yet again, Michaela met Sully and the Coopers around the same time. So I don't see how any of them was more of a stranger to her than the other.
