Did Florida call the Cops on JJ and " Friends?" - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

JJ kept the family afloat with that illegal gambling business he was doing(He thought it was JUST gambling but unbeknownst to him, his "Friends," were also drug dealers who paid off a Corrupt Cop to keep their secrets. JJ was lucky when the REAL(Normal) Cops showed up to bust the illegal business he was hiding in a closet behind a broom(Cop opened closet and didn't see anything but a broom and closed the closet and helped arrest JJ's "Friends,", and Cops and the Friends leave. JJ later

soon comes out of closet and begs Florida to let him come back home and she implies she will let him). I think Florida looked a bit smug when she says,"It's your home," as if SHE called the Police herself to bust up the illegal Gambling/Drug business...

But if Florida knew their surnames (which I don't think it would have been that hard to have found out via the grapevine or Willona), she could have told the cops that AND it wouldn't have been that hard to have tracked them down via the names.

She sure didn't seem surprised when J J called home with his tail between his legs so I wouldn't put it past her to have done this!

Although meant to be funny, I found the implication that JJ was skinny enough to hide behind a broom unrealistic. That closet was CLEARLY empty except for a broom when The Cop opened it to check inside. Also, JJ was an idiot to leave the closet so soon after the Cops left with his "Friends," for all he knew, the Cops could have come back to do a more thorough search. JJ was lucky the Cops didn't come back.

I was thinking exactly the same thing. Those were some of most incompetent cops I seen. Bet you they didn't even look under the bed
