I started recording episodes from Logo when they began airing in 2018. I've been slowly editing them, and comparing to a set of episodes I downloaded from youtube (very low quality, but was better than nothing at the time). I use these mainly to restore the closing credits.
I was hopeful Antenna Tv might have full length episodes from the ABC run, but they don't, and the video quality is horrible on Antenna Tv. People seem to really slam LOGO, and they generally do butcher shows, but compared to the youtube copies I have, there is very little, if anything missing (except of course for the episodes that originally aired on ABC, which had run times around 24 or 25 minutes. A couple of episodes I've found some of the songs from Sonny missing, but that's it. Keep in mind the last four seasons were produced for first run syndication, so they were shorter than shows produced at the time for networks (21-22 minutes versus 24 or 25). Overall, I think the Logo airings are the best - video quality is excellent, and when you edit out the commercials, you really aren't missing much. |

Antenna TV's quality aside from the first handful of episodes of It's a Living has been great. LOGO I imagine is running the same prints. Antenna TV might time compress more than they do and they might cut more is what I'm imagining is going on here. Season 1 is also on Amazon Prime right now and I wouldn't be surprised if the remaining seasons were on there eventually.

Also, antenna tv is an over the air sub channel, so depending on the market, it may have a lower bitrate than Logo.

It appears now that Antenna TV has moved It's a Living to an overnight time slot, they are airing full screen end credits!

How does antenna tv decide when to run the full closing credits? Seems like this might be the only show that has them. |

Seasons 1-3 are available for streaming. I captured those episodes and put them on DVD rather than dealing with the credit crunch/time compression from Antenna TV. I don't get Logo so I was never able to record from there but I know they butcher their shows in general. According to what I've read, Logo airs the versions that Amazon Prime has minus the credits so I'm guessing no additional edits were made.

So, I checked Amazon, and it's for purchase there. It's not free to Amazon Prime members like they make other sitcoms.
One can get a Philo subscription ($20/month) and save It's A Living. Given the marathon scheduling of Logo, I think it won't take long for the whole series to be saved or viewable there. I used to have it, but cancelled my Philo subscription. |
