Was too busy to post yesterday but I watched 8 episodes over the weekend:

I watched episodes :

The Cat's Meow--Kyra wanted to keep a cat (she doesn't strike me as being into pets the way she's always so sarcastic and snipey towards everyone) and Barbara Jean was allergic. Cute episode and I liked BJ injecting the word "Cat" into normal words---"Well hide her in the "Cattic!"

Regarding Henry was funny where Reba found out BJ lost her kid at the mall and didn't want her babysitting Elizabeth. I can't believe Reba wore that sweater with BJ's face on it lol.

The Great Race was just eh....Reba & Brock get competitive with running, but the side story where BJ tried teaching flaky Cheyenne to cook was funny.

All Growed Up where Van was afraid to try out for the professional footbal team because he's have to be an adult was good. Seems he's too comfortable at Reba's and wants to leech off her forever---should we start calling him Meathead now?

The United Front was good. I can see how they were all going nuts over 14 year old Kyra dating a 17 year old boy after what happened with Cheyenne, but Brock's rule about her not dating till she was 18 was weird. At first I thought he was joking, but he was actually serious. Talk about extremes!
But a 14 year old girl dating a 17 year old boy is really asking for trouble and they were right to be nervous about that!

To Tell the Truth was a really good one where Van hung out with a hot girl that was work related but lied by omission to Cheyenne by calling her a "buddy" and making Cheyenne assume it was a guy. That's a big no no that only makes things appear worse.
And Cheyenne was understandable when she revealed her fears of following in her parent's footsteps and Reba accepted responsibility for that. Reba's such a good Mom.

Brock's Mulligan was dumb. It doesn't seem in character for Brock to want to just drop his dentistry practice to play golf full time, especially when he still has 3 kids to raise. It's incredibly irresponsible and he's never been shown to be flaky like that.
I can't wait to see where this goes, but it's such a poor decision to make and it just came out of nowhere and so selfish. Why not just wait 10 years till the youngest kid is a teen and then try it? So irresponsible and unfair to the kids. And of course---Kyra gets the shaft again---and this time through her college fund. That poor girl lol.

The Shirt Off My Back---a continuation of the previous episode where Reba and BJ go into business making patchwork jackets to fund Kyra's college fund. This makes me a little mad...why the heck should Reba take on Brock's responsibility for her college fund because he wants to throw his business away to play golf?! It's so unfair to her. Brock is such an ass.
Van shaving his head was funny---I remember this from watching years ago in syndication when he really got his hair buzzed off in the chair lol.
I do that to myself every 3 months to save on going to the haircut place and it's no big deal imo. Why he and Cheyenne were freaking out about it was a little confusing.
Van also looks better without all that hair anyway and he has a good shaped head for that cut.

The last 8 episodes of season 3 is next weekend and then the following week I start season 4---they're going by fast!! Though I still have to buy season 5 & 6 before I finish 4.

4 more episodes tonight:

"Sister Act"---Really enjoyed this one where Kyra punched out a classmate for calling Cheyenne a slut. Cheyenne's flaky reaction about her sister defending her throughout the episode was funny.

And my favorite part was the scene where Van comes out with the big volcano for Jake's project and says "Bring me a virgin", Reba looked like she was about to break character by laughing. You could see she was struggling to hold back laughing and composed herself quickly. I love when things like that happen. A very fun episode.

"Fight or Flight"--Kyra comes back to Reba's house late at night to sleep in her old room because Brock & BJ are fighting late into the evening and it's reminding her of when Reba & Brock fought. Another good episode and I like when things get a little dramatic.
Van & Cheyenne on the cable show was just eh...but the best part was when Van crashed into the donut table at the end of the scene.

"The Big Fix Up"---Oh God not that short little Beverly from Will & Grace again. UGH! Whenever I see this actor that's who I see! Not the best episode, but I liked the ending where BJ was upset watching Reba have instant rapport with someone and realized after 3 years she doesn't have the same rapport with her.
Why this woman honestly believes Reba can ever be the kind of friend to her that she wants is beyond my comprehension. She stole her husband for crying out loud!!
Reba seems to know this woman is out of her mind but goes easy on her as not to hurt her feelings. I swear that Reba has the patience of a saint lol.
And what I found so creepy was BJ saying how she'll write about their conversation in her "Reba Journal". What the hell?!

"The Good Girl"----Everyone thinks they scratched Rhonda's rear end....(for those that don't know....Rhonda's a car! ) Funny episode where everyone is admitting fault and they're all shocked when they find out Reba was the culprit because she's such a "Good Girl" as the title says.

Out of the 4 watched tonight, "Sister Act" was my favorite one and tomorrow's the last 3 episodes of season 3!!

^^^ To me, Cheyenne is the last person who deserved Kyra's defense especially when there is still no change in Cheyenne's behavior afterwards through out the rest of the series.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. During an episode from the final season, there is another matter between the two girls concerning Kyra's 5th birthday...maybe that is when Cheyenne finally grows up and shows some long over due maturity.

I've noticed that Cheyenne appears to be getting a little more ditsy than before. It's strange because now that she's studying to become a dentist, her character should be less ditsy and not more.
But there are some instances where she acts logical and mature so her character is uneven imo.

One thing I find odd is that both Reba and BJ just walk into each other's houses. I don't think Reba would take kindly to BJ just waltzing into her home the way she does and I can't see Reba doing the same going over to BJ's house. It's all so weird.

Sister Act is def a great ep I loved it too. It was nice seeing Cheyenne and Kyra bond. I liked Fight or Flight, the cable show was hilarious. Van muttering like an idiot while Cheyenne was confident.

Dont worry thats the last episode with Terry, or Beverly as you call him.

Thank God for no more of Terry/Beverly! He was almost playing the same character with all the gay remarks towards Van & Brock. This is Reba...not Will & Grace (and Thank God for that too)

I watched the final 3 episodes of season 3 last night and I was disappointed with them.

The whole depression with Brock just came out of nowhere and felt too much like an advertisement for antidepressants. And Reba saying she was on them for a while when Brock left her was strange.

Her husband of 20 years just left her for a younger woman---you're supposed to be depressed from that!! It's normal to go through those emotions naturally and why a doctor prescribed "happy pills" for that confuses me.

Why suppress your natural feelings of sadness with pills?! She says she was on them a few months---but I think going through her sadness and the rest of her feelings naturally is more healthy than popping pills for it. That whole part was weird for me.

BJ is over the top, but I agree with her point....that it's better to work through your emotions naturally. The man is pushing 50 and surely he's worked through all his varying emotions without pills during those 5 decades....why suddenly does he need pills to work through them?! It made no sense and seems like a way to push prescription taking onto the audience.

And the finale where Brock wonders if he should've stayed with Reba. Oh good lord...this doesn't make me want to tune in to find out what happened.

I hope this isn't the first sign of the show going off the rails. It's been really great so far, but I guess all shows have to jump the shark eventually.

Van & Cheyenne forging Reba's name on the apartment application was EVIL! What if they had been approved? Reba would've been on the line for that $1,500 monthly rent. I hated the both of them for doing that.

This was the most irresponsible i've seen them and Cheyenne's character goes back and forth...just in an episode before that she was telling Van how financial security if important to her and she wants to grow her savings account rather than foolishly spend it....now here she is all giddy about getting a penthouse apartment they know they can't afford.

Where's the consistency here?!

I hope season 4 gets things back on track and they drop the silly depression story for Brock and make Cheyenne more consistent...either keep her flaky or keep her mature---you can't keep going back and forth.

Watched the first 3 episodes tonight of Season 4 and i'm sad to say i'm not liking this whole Brock and BJ splitting up. I'm just not a fan of the whole story line and hope it's not a big season long arc.

I like drama, but I think this is too much drama for a lighthearted comedy. I already miss the fun episodes and hope they resolve Brock & BJ's separation quickly.

Van is becoming more stupid to the point of being annoying. Sometimes he acts like he's mentally challenged 8 year old. Cheyenne is still wishy washy flaky and Kyra is the only one I like so far this season.

Reba is thankfully still Reba, but her new hairstyle is distracting. I can't tell if it's her own hair or a wig, but it's sticking out all over the place that I want to reach in the TV and fix it.

It's a weird hairstyle....like she rolled out of bed and didn't brush it into place.

Tomorrow is the next 4 episodes (only 3 episodes were in side A of the disc, so I guess it's a shorter season)...But side B has 4 episodes that i'll watch tomorrow and hope Brock & BJ are back together in those episodes.

It looks like a bunch of feathers are growing out of her head. Whoever did that to her should've been fired.

I'm glad things will get lighthearted again. Right now there's too much drama with the separation and I hope it's resolved quick.

I love the Brock and Barbra Jean story line, especially when their marriage counselor named Dr. Baker wants to speak to Reba about them.

God bless you always!!!

Holly

P.S. Kyra has some good stuff to say during this season. I want to give her a hug when she says that she is sick of being the only grown up in the family.

Kyra is so far my favorite this season (behind Reba of course). I like how her character is growing and evolving while Cheyenne & Van on the other hand seem to be regressing with their buffoonish behavior...especially Van.

I watched the next 4 episodes and the Brock/BJ separation is thankfully resolved. I just didn't care for all that fighting.

I loved the episode with Wendy Malick playing the lesbian who has a misunderstanding with Reba thanks to silly Van. That episode was LOL funny. These are the kinds of episodes I enjoy most---when it's funny and lighthearted.
