at her place
![]() ![]() ![]() Purposely wears the sweater she told him he looks nice in and splashes himself with cologne and sits next to her on purpose on the sofa. The signs that he was going to leave gloria in the future was seen early lol |

I liked Gloria's reaction in another episode, where she wears a dark wig and Mike wants her to "leave it on." She becomes upset and says it's all about "so you can cheat on your wife!!" as kind of Mike's fantasy.
Even at the very early part of the series, Mike had wanted to change her look by having her grow the curls out into a long, straight hairstyle. The thing though that was alarming, and suggested the marriage was in trouble, was when Mike had his intellectual college friends over, and Gloria felt left-out and unable to talk with them on their level. Their possible incompatibility was highlighted. |

Yeah, that was memorable and well-written I thought.
Mike could really be an interesting character at times, like when he's less-than-willing to have a female operate on him (surgery). Reiner was really good when the character was on the defensive, or "caught" in a hypocrisy. |

The extramarital thing reminds me of the movie The Heartbreak Kid (1972). Charles Grodin's character does his bangs (hair fringe) how the fantasy girl likes (Cybll Shepherd). Just like the Meathead in AITF, he keeps in mind how the girl's attraction may be maximized.

I like the episode when Mike, Gloria, Edith, Irene, Frank and Lionel are all playing that game "Cop Out" and Mike is a total paranoid, defensive DOUCHE! I loved when Lionel called Mike out on his outrageous behavior!
