Default The ABC show that John Amos appeared on during the 1976-77 TV season

Season 4 of Good times is the first season without John Amos and this is the show he starred on which was short-lived

I still have the VHS that I got from you many moons ago that has two episodes of Future Cop on it. It also has an episode of I'm A Big Girl Now on it.

I had to pull out the tape and play a few minutes of it because I couldn't remember. It wasn't the original ABC broadcast, it was a Sci-Fi channel airing. They showed Ernest Borgnine talking before they played the show. He said that the show was "wonderful" and that they "had some pretty good scripts." He also said that the show got bounced around on the schedule a lot before it got cancelled.

I've never heard of this show.

The only thing that I was aware of that John Amos appeared in that season was Roots.

I wonder what went wrong. The concept of the show seem interesting enough and stared two excellent actors (Borgnine and Amos). DJM77 mentioned that show got bounced around on the schedule a lot. Maybe that was the main reason it got canceled.

You have to be consistent when it comes to time slots, especially back then in the pre-DVR era.

Back then, some shows did very well on Saturday night. But if you don't schedule it for every week, people are going to forget.
