Cool Good To The Last Episode

Today being Monday I watched an O&H ep., this happened to be the last episode (it was next in line on my thumbdrive) about getting a pool table for the house. I was very pleasantly entertained thruout the whole show, never once thinking, as I do almost everytime I watch this show, what a stupid mealy mouthed wimp Ozzie is. For once Ozzie acted with some intelligence and sense. I was also both glad to see Ozzie go out on such a high quality note and also sorry that if this is the quality of the show it should have gone on a few more years.

Seems O&H actually got better the older it got. Unfortunately Harriet didn't get better looking, in fact she got rather haggard looking the longer the show went, Ozzie though didn't seem to age at all. Harriet must have been a smoker her voice sounded more and more like William Conrad the older she got. Anyway, for the first time today I can actually say I really enjoyed O&H without any negative thoughts running as I watched.

Harriet was a heavy smoker, I've heard.

I do like the newer episodes better. The writing was good for both the boys' wives, and the older episodes just seem so outdated. I like the show in color in the last season when the color episode is actually available.

My favorite seasons are the latter half — but especially those with David as a lawyer, and Rick in a frat &/or married.

I agree seasons 6-14 were the best, the first couple of seasons were horrible I refuse to watch them

The show, because of it’s 14 Season longevity, had many twists and turns. Ricky as a precaution-pubescent, early teens, teen idol, frat brother, young married. Each had outstanding eps. Another thing I thought was kind of cool about the show, was that it really was, in a sense, one of the first reality shows.

While Ozzie often played a bumbler, and a bit of an easy mark for moocher Joe Randolph, in real life Ozzie was a VERY assertive and astute businessman, producer and director—he made sure Rick and Dave were left with nice pieces of change. Rick sadly, was a poor manager of this, so his melted away rather quickly—greatly assisted by spendthrift Kris.
