Vic Tayback was also a gangster in the Partridge Family who popped Danny's inflatable duck at the public swimming pool. And he was also Archie's colleague on All in the Family. He was on Kojak too, but I don't recall the details.

Yeah I remember him on AITF. It was season 3 or before

Yep, and on the Love Boat too a couple of times, I saw him on there this past Sunday !!

Vic Tayback/ Mel was a really great comedic actor !!
