So today I got in my car and I picked up where I left off on my '90s country playlist, and the first song it started back up with was a Reba McEntire ballad that's one of my favorite of her songs, "They Asked About You". And I made a joke about this to Lorimar Television since he's big fan of Reba's show, and I said, "Hey, with that title, it could be about the Lost Girls, haha!"---but then I examined the lyrics with this in mind, and it really could be!
![]() Picture it...you're out on the town on a Saturday night in winter 1983 during season 4 of "The Facts of Life", when you thought you'd reconciled yourself to the "fact" that the Lost Girls had stopped appearing... - |

Saturday night
Out on the town Feeling so sure of myself Meeting some friends Sharing some laughs Not thinking of anything else Then one of them leaned over my shoulder And all at once the party was over They asked about you And suddenly it all came back to me Then all the walls around my heart Came crashing at my feet When they asked about you (Oh) They asked about you I was doing OK Until they asked about you How could they know What it would do All they did was mention your name(s) And just like that The hurting was back That's when I knew nothing had changed What a time for old memories to find me Just when I thought I'd put 'em behind me They asked about you And suddenly it all came back to me Then all the walls around my heart Came crashing at my feet When they asked about you (Oh) They asked about you I was doing OK Until they asked about you |

I thought a good song for the 'Lost girls' could be I WILL SURVIVE (from Gloria Gaynor) thinking how they never gave up hope, after being so blatantly dismissed from the show.....

It’s mostly an instrumental, but how ‘bout Lost Girls by Lindsey Stirling.
Here’s the few lyrics: Lost girls Lost girls find a way |

That's cool, Opus!
While watching it, I imagined Molly in Lindsey's role, with Nancy and Cindy playing the evil fairies. That left Sue Ann as the head evil fairy. |

But didn't you at least read through the lyrics? Since this is Lost Girl-related I thought for sure you'd listen to it or at the very least look at the words.
![]() It might be a song you like, maybe not. But there are a lot of different sounds and styles between Hank Williams and Carrie Underwood. |
