When she had that series scene with her Dad.

The scene when she had her back turned to him. And the scene with Blair when she was yelling at her and calling her a sleaze

The part when she told her dad you were my Hero and turned around. Looks like they had to do that scene over and over

As Eve Bernstein said in the latest documentary, Natalie's personality was a reflection of Mindy's personality. At least for the first few seasons.

I don’t think looked like she was about to crack up at all. If anything, this episode was a turning point in her acting.
