Default Wonder why out of the 4 girls during the 1980-81 season, Jo was the only one not to

appear on Different Strokes?

During the 1980-81 season, Tootie appeared in the first 2 eps of DS that season called Bank Job and Natalie and Blair appeared together in the episode the Older Woman. But Jo didnt appear on DS at all that season. Maybe it was because she didnt know Kimberly?

Don't know. Jo did appear with Arnold (briefly) and Willis on the Facts of Life. In fact, she hung out with Willis the most on the Zaa Zaa Gabor episode.

Nancy M. did appear with Dana Plato in a movie together.

Perhaps Nancy M. was not "All American" enough.

I don't know the exact reason. Probably she didn't know Kimberly very well like the other girls.

I wonder why Charlotte Rae never appeared on Strokes with the girls. Her only guest appearence was several years after her departure

The New Girl, Part 1. Arnold introduces Jo to Tootie as "Hello, new roommate" and then disappears with Tootie.

You're right about that: CHARLOTTE RAE was never seen on DS with the FOL cast (except during the pilot 'The girls school',but she didn't really know them yet)

Yeah but TGS was an episode of DS. I would have liked one or two guest appearences, after all, the Drummonds really cared about Mrs. Garrett

The reason why I know they cut it out was because I never seen Arnold flirting with tootie before. And I never seen FOL on cable only local tv which is the local syndicated version

so I would have only seen it on cable or the DVD

Yeah, Jo and Kimberly never met on screen. There was no reason for Jo to visit the Drummonds, when she didn't know Kimberly, and only briefly met Willis and Arnold. There just wasn't a strong connection.
