Default Caught in the Muddle—-The official One Day At A Time Fan Forum

Time to continue muddling.....

At the end of Julie Shows Up part 2 I like when Schneider dives to the floor thinking Max is pulling a gun. Would have been a cool ending if Max had shot everyone and got his own series.

Except for Barbara. Max would never shoot Barbara.

Hey, opus! I was wondering where you and Bonnie have been!

Anyway, I like your idea but I think Schneider (out of everyone) could have had a successful series, still as the building super interacting with miscellaneous wacky tenants!

You know how it is. Trump’s birthday last Sunday, buying tickets for the big rally this Saturday. Super busy exciting times.

That’s better than the attempted spin-off they tried, with him heading to that place in Florida in the final episode. Keep him in Indy, have a consistent dating life, and the building full of wacky new tenants to deal with, one of them a potential girlfriend.

And they could have Ed Cooper turn P.I./vigilante who relentlessly hunts down a wanted Max Horvath! Ed gets fed up and turns to booze. They can showcase his struggles as an alcoholic/P.I./vigilante/devastated dad. He contemplates suicide after Vicki leaves him, but something brings him out of his deep depression and he resumes hunting down the elusive Max Horvath!

They even could have bought back Ginny. Bonnie Franklin would be gone, and the story is Franklin forced out the Ginny character. Although I really haven’t found anything to confirm that. Mary Louise Wilson has an autobiography, and maybe there’s something in there, but I haven’t read it.

And now a game show question. Password Plus had “Robert Reed from The Brady Bunch” and “Nancy Lane from Rhoda”. Who’s “Nancy Lane from Rhoda”?
