Default Welcome to Eastland - The "Factsiest" Place on Earth! (FOL Disneyland)

That's right! Not pronounced "EASTluhnd" like the school name, but "East Land", like "Disneyland"!

How great would it be if there were a "Facts of Life" theme park?? Just think of it! Walk-around characters! "Semester" passes! "Year" passes! "Extra Credit" bonuses for passholders! And SO! MUCH! MORE!

So Disneyland is divided into 4 lands:
  • Adventureland
  • Frontierland
  • Fantasyland
  • Tomorrowland

In my plans for Eastland: Lost Girls USA, it's divided into these 4 lands:
  • Ad"Cinds"erland
  • "SueWeaver"land
  • "Nantasy"land
  • To"Molly"land

You can have fun building your own version, or adding onto this one. See below for details on attractions! (ones with parenthetical names at the end were submitted by those fellow board members. Ones without names at the end were done by me)

Ad"Cinds"erland

Cindy is the "adventurous" girl who loves sports and the outdoors. Come engage your sense of adventure in this sporty, active land!

Campus Flood - Board a boat on this adventurous high drama journey! See the flooded Eastland baseball field! Notice the about-to-burst dam in the distance! Clutch your neighbor as you descend into the deep, dark Eastland basement! Point and take pictures as you see a lifelike Cindy going for her soaked spikes! And brace yourself for the final scene of the ride with amazing Audio-Animatronics: Mrs. Garrett grabbing a spikes-holding Cindy by the shoulders and admonishing her that she could have been ELECTROCUTED in the basement---and then Mrs. Garrett turns to your boat and tells YOU the same thing! (!!!)

Disco North of the Caribbean - Tomboy Cindy is going to her first dance! Enter this wondrous far out discotheque pumping tracks from all of Donna Summer's 1970s record albums and watch as all of Cindy's friends take turns showing her different dance move to Donna! It's the most Audio-Animatronics action under one roof at Eastland!

Cindy Braidy Treehouse - Climb up into the biggest tree on Eastland's campus and have adventurous fun swinging from branch to branch on giant blond braids! Once the introductory video shows you, it's a cinch!

Cindy's Sport Pro Swing - Here you can swing at a baseball or practice your tennis and have Cindy Webster analyze your swing on a video monitor above! (Lorimar Television)

"SueWeaver"land

Howdy, y'all! Country bumpkins and "city folk" alike are all welcome to Weaverland, a testament to the rural ways of the midwest that shaped our Sue Ann!

Big Kansas City, Kansas Railroad - Hop on aboard this train for a whirlwind of a fast tour around Kansas City, Kansas!

Miller's Pond - Grab a pole, get some worms from "Bradley's Bait", and pass some relaxing time fishin' away in Miller's Pond!

Our Friend the Grain - Board a wheelbarrow cart and enjoy this leisurely ride through the life cycle of wheat as it all sprouts from a tiny grain---and at the end, you'll get your own little sample of wheat seeds so you can grow your very own Sue Ann "Wheat"ver garden in the comfort of your own home!

Sue Ann's Soybean Speed Run! - Think you've got what it takes to pass Eastland's country girl on the racetrack? Put your feet to the test as you race alongside a special speed-enhanced Audio-Animatronics Sue Ann on this special race track!

Sue Ann's Golden Hair Crop - Have you ever watched "The Facts of Life" and wished you could brush Sue Ann's long tresses of golden corn? Well now you can! Come into the field of a crop of Sue Ann heads on pedestals, grab a brush attached to the base, and brush Sue Ann's corn-yellow hair all you want! (No time limit!)

Maize Maze - You've been invited by Tumpy and Kedgie to the keenest pool party of the year, but oh no! Mr. Weaver has planted a field of corn that's blocking the pool! Can you navigate through the maze and get to the pool before Scott Dunbar shows up??

Diet Wars - This advanced motion simulator takes you inside Sue Ann's body after not eating for a week! See how her system is reacting to such unhealthy eating and then view it again after she's been on a proper diet and see the difference. (Lorimar Television)

Mama's Weaver's Pancakes - Be sure to stop by this snack stand for a stack of Mama Weaver's pancakes-on-a-stick! Complete with butter 'n maple syrup! mm-mm-mm!

Moby Dick's Dope Desserts - Another popular snack stand, right here's where you can get your very own Moby Dick Sundae and Mrs. Garrett's Rice Pudding!

-------------------------

Ednaville

A cozy little square celebrating everyone's favorite redhead!

Submarine Sandwich Voyage - Hop in a bun warmer and travel this amazing ride through a Peekskill supermarket as you glide by scenes of Audio-Animatronic Mrs. Garrett on her grocery journey buying ingredients to make an enormous submarine sandwich, where you end with the final scene of her making the sandwich in Eastland's kitchen. Be sure to bring your appetite, because when you disembark from your bun warmer at the end of the ride, you'll get a piece of a submarine sandwich just like you saw Mrs. Garrett make!

Carousel of Edna’s Progress - a look over the years at Edna’s various careers: taxi driver, housekeeper, housemother, dietitian, caterer, shopkeeper, restaurant hostess, Peace Corps volunteer, and nurse! (TV Guy)

Edna's Edibles - Just like you saw on the show! Stop in for your favorite quiche, cookie, strudel, or one of Edna's Wisconsin cheese puffs! (and Christmastime features fruit cakes!)

"Nantasy"land

An aspiring actress with a steady boyfriend, Nancy epitomizes the fantasy realm of the Eastland girls!

Shakespeare's Carousel - Take a ride on these Mr. Crocker-inspired horses on a carousel painted with beautiful scenes of Eastland's girls all decked out four "A Mid-Autumn Day's Fantasy"!

Nancy's Mad Umbrella Party - Take a seat in a swirling umbrella stand as they spin all over the floor. Hang on tight while you watch an Audio-Animatronic soaked Nancy repeatedly enter through the door in the middle of the ride floor, trying again and again to open her umbrella---see if you catch the special times when she finally does open it!

Nancy's Scary Adventures - Think you've got a soul of steel! Think again! Take a seat in a mini Subaru and enter this ride of dark moments in Nancy's Eastland life...almost having to leave school...trying to tell a convincing LIE to Mr. Bradley to get money from her school bank account...seeing what PRESSURE she's under from having the highest IQ---and almost leaving Eastland because of it!...overpacking little Tootie's suitcase out of anxiety...not being included in "the Group"...and talking to Roger when the PHONE GOES DEAD---be sure to ride with a good friend beside you!

Universe of NRG (Nancy/Roger Gab) - This attraction about "conversation conservation" takes a look at NRG and the effects of its energy on the Peekskill community. Scientists have determined that when Nancy and Roger were burning up the phone lines at Eastland, their phone marathons used up enough energy that could have powered the entire city of Peekskill for the entire year of 1980!

Nancy's Phone Booth - Located just outside of the Universe of NRG. Dial any number you like on a vintage 1980 model telephone and speak to anyone across the globe for free for 2 minutes! Find out how to say "Roger" in any language!

To"Molly"land

If you're one for high tech adventures, then this is the land for you! Molly's tech geekery is celebrated in this land of gadgets!

Ham Mountain - Board an oversized ham radio for a roller coaster ride of high tech thrills and chills as you zoom through the inner wire workings of a vintage 1980 ham radio!

DDDD - Dodging Dad's Dodge Dart - Oh no! Your father has come to collect you for the school break! But you don't wanna go! Climb into an oversized child guitar and race away on this coaster track all around the campus of Eastland, with Dad's Dodge Dart right on your tail! Look out for the Audio-Animatronic Mrs. Garrett screaming "MOLLLLLYYYYYYYY!!!!" as you fly by! (America's first "chase coaster")

Trip to the Dark Room - Wanna know how photography is made? Come on in and hop in a "camera car" as you leisurely wind a ride through the history of photography, with a special emphasis on WOMEN in photography. And at the end of the ride, smile, because you'll see a hologram of Molly Parker sitting beside you in your camera car, and you get a souvenir photo of the moment!

Molly's Sugar-Free Sweet Shoppe - No cavities here! Want some healthy snacks? Stop here for some sugar-free, color-free, chemical-free candy that's completely organic and natural! Also pick up a new toothbrush and unwaxed dental floss approved by Dr. Parker! Sure to be a hit with your kids!

-------

Libert"she" Square

Don't miss this nook of the park adjacent to ToMollyland celebrating the WOMEN in American history!

Suffragette Center - Walk through this self-navigated home of old and learn all about the suffragette movement and women's fight for their right to vote. At the exit a Molly character will hand you a government pamphlet educating you all about women's rights and contact info for women in liberal government!

The Haunted Man-Shun - Enter this house if you dare! Your car will be pulled through by male Cast Members in this dark ride as you see the ghosts of 999 miserable men who dared discount or belittle women in their former mortal lives. They will teach you about women's rights and bemoan the error of their ways! (a "ghost phone post" is placed outside the ride's exit so you can call your mother, sister, daughter, wife, girlfriend and tell her how much you appreciate her! Calls are free for women, $50 for men)

Move over castle...

In the middle of Disneyland is Sleeping Beauty's Castle, but here in Eastland the center anchor is---THE DORM. That's right, step into the hallowed dorm of Mrs. Garrett and all 7 of her girls. Stroll through the building just as it appears on TV! Walk-around characters of Mrs. Garrett, all 7 girls, Miss Mahoney, and Mr. Bradley will appear around the dorm at different times during the day for meet-and-greets and photo ops.

Don't forget one of the destination eateries in the park, "The Cafeteria" just behind The Dorm. Only open for lunch, it's one of the most sought-after and least-open eateries in the park. And its lunch menu is the comfortably the same every day of the year:

Lunch:
Mystery Meat (FDA-approved---barely)
Green Bell Pepper on Bed of Lettuce (vegetarian dish)

Dessert:
Cinnamon Buns (fresh-baked every day!)

And neighboring the dorm, don't forget to visit the solemn, awe-inspiring Hall of Headmasters (similar to Hall of Presidents, but with Audio-Animatronic versions of Misters Crocker, Bradley, Harris, Parker, and Morehead, and Ms. Warner). [TV Guy]

-----------------------

Peekskill USA

And while Disneyland's entrance leads you down Main Street USA, here when you enter the park you stroll toward the dorm in the distance down "Peekskill USA"! Be sure to stop in at all these unique Peekskill attractions!

Miss Mahoney's Perm Palace - Need a new 'do? Something to change up your looks? Stop in here to have one of the local beauty school's bottom drop-outs give you a perm you'll never forget! (No refunds)

Peekskill Pizza - Just like Tootie skated home with pizzas from in "The Facts of Love"! (just make sure you get correct change!)

Steve's 8-Tracks - Get your favorite albums, only on 8-track!

Bong Records - A record store full of vintage record albums and also bongs that are great for holding jellybeans!

Charlie's Typewriters - Typewriters that are legitimately for sale! Honest!

Mama Rose's Original Bronx Pizza, Inc. - The best pizza in the park! (TV Guy)

Darlow’s Coffee Shop - A replica of the greasy spoon where Tootie almost became a prostitute. Park cast members play world-weary waitress Bernice, and sleazy pimp Mike. (TV Guy)

ChugaLug Bar - Where parents can enjoy an adult beverage while the kiddies are off doing something else in Peekskill. (TV Guy)

EPCOF (Experimental Prototype Core of Four)

Blair's Cranium - Explore the day in the life of Blair Warner as we get in her head! Here the right brain helps her creative side paint Sue Ann flat chested and logical left side helps her come up with excuses for copying a poem from Emily Dickinson! Uh oh she's just met the delivery boy Steve and her hormones are running wild! But her Adrenal Gland is full of panic as Natalie sits in the other room! (Lorimar Television)

The Making of Whoopee - This sensitive film goes back in time as Natalie's daughter explores how Nat and her husband planned and had her. (Lorimar Television)

Happy Magic Marker - This hands-on exhibit area is full of optical illusions! Is it a skinny pencil or a happy magic marker? It depends on where you're standing! How does it work?! (Lorimar Television)

Au"Jo"pia - Hop on your Yamaha road hog and race around laps around the cafeteria building to see what a record time you can make! But be careful of Mrs. Garrett's marigolds! If you flatten any, an Audio-Animatronic Mrs. Garrett will scream out the window and throw cheese puffs at you!

And in EPCOF, the centerpiece of Girl Showcase can be The A"Blair"ican Adventure, celebrating that princess that Tootie has deemed a "national treasure", Blair Warner! Don't forget to stop by the food stand for a great big piece of delicious "Blairy-pie"!

Cheese dip!

Maybe that'll be a new attraction! "Cindy Webster's Bottomless Pit of Cheese Dip"---stare into this bottomless abyss and see if you can spy Mrs. Garrett's never-seen cheese dip anywhere in sight!

But OFtG is probably more exciting for you "Sue Fanns" with Audio-Animatronic Sue Anns staring in awe and wonder at the wheat growing process throughout the ride.

Kind of ironic that the girl who dieted has the richest foods in the park, huh?
