Default The girls were so heavily made up after season 3

Both Joyce and Suzanne looked significantly older after they started wearing heavier makeup in season 4.

Probably to attract more male viewers.

Maybe the makeup gave them more of a Porn star look?

Everyone talks about how Suzanne's looks changed but Janet's looks changed a lot too. Her role changed too where she had to set up Suzanne's big laughs and react to them. I am watching Season 4 right now.

IIRC it was season 4 and/or season 5 when Janet looked as hot as ever. Even hotter than Chrissy ever looked.

Maybe the actresses wanted the heavier makeup & sexier outfits?

Either the producers or Joyce definitely tried giving Janet a sexier look. Heavier makeup, nicer hairstyle for the time and tighter clothes showing off her figure.

I agree 100% especially in the episode when they are at the Regal Beagle and Mr. Furley walks in for the first time. I can stare at Janet in those short shorts for a very long time and her makeup and hair are on point. They dolled them up for sure (= ratings).

I made a goof. When I first read it I thought "huh?"
